  1. Noah..that was some great shooting...great job..keep it up... Ron..it was good to meet ya and put a face to the name...wish I had more time to hang around after the shooting..but the family gets antsy .... hope you get that open gun figured out... Hoser ( tom freeman ) and Lizard ( Bob Waltzer ) put on a great match....it ran ahead of time..the courses were all freestyle and left the shooter to make there own fate...I had a great time shooting this weekend..
  2. Always a good thing... we have found having a sale on Fri-Sat..was always better than Sat. and Sun. its amazing though..you have things marked at a steal of a price..and people still want cheaper..
  3. Does this mean you are coming down here to shoot production ??? If you want..you may use my open gun ...its an EGW 9x23..let me know, so I can load you up some ammo....if not..bring down the production gun and let's have a good time..I can get hold of another Glock 34 if you want to shoot production.. let me know if I can help out getting you any equipment..
  4. Second the Kytac...have tried the bladetech stuff for Glock and 1911...so far I always end up going back to my Kytac stuff...
  5. Great holsters..my favorite so far of all the kydex stuff..
  6. At the time it orginally came out..it was the only metal MSH for the STI/SV framed guns...and that came out with arched, wedge or flat... the only thing available was the flat factory polymer MSH...there wasn't even a heavy magwell yet...
  7. The was a beauty of P9 too...I wonder where it is now...anyone know where and if it ever turned up???
  8. I have three of the ZM arched ones..from years ago..one is on my open, one is on my STI 9mm and the other will go on my limited gun...never have had a problem with them...glad someone is making them again..
  9. Ron..you coming down for the state match..at the end of May?? be great to put a face with your name.. I'm shooting production this year instead of open..but let's catch up...
  10. Heard he had closed his door for the time being for contract work in Iraq...
  11. I had Beven tune an STI mag with follower and basepad for 29 rounds...so far has been great... I also have a couple of SV mags with the new follower/spring combo and use those for 28 rounds...
  12. Don't think there are that much in aftermarket parts available yet..but the Springfield Custom shop offers two levels of trigger work for the XD... I have heard some descriptions of mods on the existing parts..but I don't have any detailed notes on how to do it..
  13. I am liking a fine serrated rear..like a bomar.....if I choose a fixed sight like a heinie..I will have the serrations milled off and then reserrated like the bomar..then for front I like the the Dawson FO about .100 to .110 and serrated.. I like the Dawson because I can pickup the FO but it is not so bright so I can still see the top and sides of the front sight..and I just like serrated things...really helps me keep focused on the sight..
  14. not sure about the C-More..have four C-mores now and all turn off completely..have had early models too..they shut off completey;; stuff always gets on the lens..get a blast shield..it will cut it down or eliminate completely.. I usually use the eyeglass cleaners..they dry with no smears..if I am really cleaning it..I have used photographic lens cleaner and soaked it..
  15. For me as a regular person pay for my own stuff shooter..there isn't a bunch of difference..it's pretty much all the same to me..I usually mix and match the parts I want to build the blaster that works for me.. if I were getting paid to shoot or sponsored..you bet whatever I shot or shooting for was the best..
  16. There is one listed for para..in the catalog I have.. #021-001 .090 width #021-002 .100 width #021-003 .125 width or give them a call..good folks to deal with..
  17. The hammers will crack if they are heat treated too hard.. several years ago..some Koenig hammers were heat treated too hard and they were brittle.. George (EGW) said he fixed that..My experience has been good..I dryfire the heck out of my guns and the two DK hammers I have..have not had any issues..
  18. my 9mm STI has been nothing but fun...it has been flawless since the day I picked it up..that has only been a couple of months..but out to the range every week for a 100-200 rounds..and nothing but holes in the A-zone..
  19. Just a note..George is getting ready to move his shop...more space..
  20. 9mm on the S_I platform is great..I had one built on a STI frame and slide with an EGW match barrel and bushing...what a fun gun... a downloaded 40 would give you lots a flexibilty for the varying divsions in the sports.. but the 9mm is a really fun gun to shoot..I would recommend it.. I have both STI and SV mags set up for this gun..in the STI mags..I am using the new 9mm follower and spacers..in the SV mags I am using factory followers..MattB recommends using 140 mag springs to make the follower is gtting up and engaging the slidestop. anyway..build it, order it..whatever it takes..very fun gun..
  21. Good looking... nice to see Derek back building guns...
  22. very cool..any trouble manipulating the slide with serrations??
  23. Here is a doctor/optima mount...looks pretty good.. go to www.cartercustom.com under the products/competition/open gun..
  24. So far have had good luck with Norton anitvirus..we get smacked everyday with something..also have had good luck with the Linksys router/firewall.. watch the incapatiblities...found out that Adelphia, Windows 2000 and MacAfee together would cause our modem to drop off and need reboot..take away any one of them and the system was OK...course none of the three tech supports would tell you that...
