The ones I have used have been great.. at work we have several of the G5 with 20" flat cinema screens..they scream..we also have the older G4 and they have been great too.. We also use the G4 12" laptop and those did great..two went to Iraq and survived with no issues..had to clean out a little dust... We are getting set to purchase a G5 Server RAID with 3.5 terrabits..that has me really excited...woo hoo.. but love'em...easy to use, little worry of virues..really jams through graphics and video.. downside..not as cheap, not as much available..

Always interesting..be cool if Smith get back into the competition circle again.. could always be a tricked out 22 for STC, masters or Steel Challenge..or a tricked out 952 for Bianchi cup or (gasp!!) back to a wheelgun for Bianchi.. maybe just a plain ole SW1911 for IDPA.. guess we will see this year..

Nope, this was something he made a while back. It's just "new" to me. Don't know much about how it shoots. First match with it will be tomorrow. dang... always wanted a gun from Huening... enjoy....

Use either slideglide 1 or triggerslick.. Like the way it stays in place..trigger feels smooth and consistent.. great idea on the revolver stuff...might need to try it there..how about ar15 bolts?? any try that..

I was rereading through the last front sight and there was a short paragraph about the .357 magnum restriction for major being recinded...does that mean the 38 super guns can make major now in revolver division?? or did I read that all wrong.. I searched here..but I couldn't find a thread about this..thanks for any insight..

How were the triggers on the tricked out XD's?? the SA custom shop is supposed to have some pretty trick mods for those guns..

TT had posted on Max's forum that he is shooting a caspian for open, an SV/STI for limited and a caspian for L10 EGW built the open gun..not sure on the other guns... That gun is cool..becuase there are no tricks on it..it is a gun that is shot and is only purpose is to run and run and run and to win..and we all know TTs skill and we know from that it is the shooter not the gun...

Ron..best I can add is just before one limited nationals..I tore a ligament in my strong hand shoulder..I was in a sling for two months before the match and shooting caused severe pain and swelling in the shoulder. Going prone, I had to really protect that side otherwise it was painful.. THe doc gave me the go ahead to shoot, using pain as my guide as he said.. so anyway..I get to nationals..I pretty much kept some heat on it to try and keep it loose.and used some heavyweight IBprofen to help the swelling and pain. Through the match..I tried to stay pretty focused...iced and heat when I could. Only had to go prone on one stage..( got up really really really slow). anyway..I found through being focused and using some pain management..I got through it and id quite well actually.. good luck to you...

My G34 has the cool trigger by Charlie...been great .. Has Dawson rear and FO front sight, ISMI 13 pound spring..think I clipped like three coils off and a steel guide rod.. All good so far...

The Dawson works well for me...I have smaller hands..so this one of the few magwells that I can actually feel on the bottom of my hand...with it..my hand fits my SV and STI gun and I hit the gun the same spot every time...

Talked to Jamie the other day..he said that Fred was planning on closing up shop to do some contracting business overseas..

Am thinking about getting one of these kits.. was thinking about one for my STI/SV.. does the version with the rib..will it fit underneath my scope mount..Allchin mount with cmore on top?? any issues with the STI/SV adapted mags or should I look at a single stack version.. thanks for the input..

Alright...thanks guys for getting us back on topic.. If I were a limited shooter..and had the .40 mags..I would go the .40 route ...the guns easily crosses into IDPA ESP division, USPSA Limited and Limited 10 divisions..you could shoot steel matches, bowling pin matchs and Bianchi Cup with little disadvantage... I went for the 9mm as I do have an open gun still, and I shoot mainly USPSA open and production divisions. So I think a lot of the choice will be on what else you have planned and what other equipment you have..

Here is mine that I had just built..still breaking it in as gunsmith likes to build them tight..but so far got only 100 rounds of Walmart 9mm ammo through it with no trobles at all.. When finished..going for hardchrome look with a gray grip worked over by Jim Shanahan.. STI 9mm from my measurements..I had to trim the rear of the magwell to fit the IDPA box..but it all should fit now.. then for fun..load up my 140 mags and go shoot some Limited minor..what the heck..its all fun..
