I have found that open guns are not much different at all when compared to 2011 limited guns. Once ammo is sorted out and things are kept clean. But it’s hard to beat the reliability of say a Sig X5 Carry optics gun. Back on topic, Johnny’s creations run great!

Ha! That is a comp I’ve been looking at. The three port is a mile long but effective. The two port seems to also work very well. Great choices man!

That scares me even more as the cause is unknown. Once I lose confidence in a gun it’s hard to push it at a match. Hope you find the root cause.

Exactly this. The X5 just runs and runs and the perceived recoil is next to nothing with 124g handloads.

At some point all the inventory with the LCI barrels will be gone. A Sig rep told me on the phone that they have fixed the issue which obviously means no more LCI barrels moving forward. He hinted that the number of returns was quite significant.

Guys in the CO threads complain about a “ghost dot” in bright sunlight, etc. Has anyone seen this on a frame mounted open gun?
