  1. The brass grips make the gun heavier for sure but man do they make it shoot softer. Balance feels so good.
  2. Springs are easy. Get a guide rod that takes 1911 springs and go at it. Thumb rest is a hard no unless you drill and tap the frame.
  3. Yeah. I got the popcorn ready. Let’s see what will be for sale!
  4. I have experience with those. Well it was a .40 limited gun and a shorty 9mm Major Vista. They are ok after you change all of the MIM parts out and do a trigger job. The mags are solid. Pretty sure they are proprietary but you should be able to get some over there and MBX sells some for them too. Grips are awful but they sell a metal grip for them now and it’s nice. All in all a good move on your part. Congrats
  5. You can get "something" at that price but it may be wore out or very old tech. Keep looking. Hoping something pops up.
  6. I think the biggest driver in your search is your budget. Any idea what that is? That’s going to narrow down things quite a bit. I would stay with a tried and true 2011 platform but that’s me.
  7. Good luck! Let us know what you end up with.
  8. I have heard that. You did well
  9. Cheely. Tried to get an MPA but they are way behind.
  10. Looks good! I have the same trigger
  11. If it’s under $2,500 it would still be a maybe for me. Would need to find out as much info about it as possible. Also, the super old guns have older comp tech, etc.
  12. That’s great news. Have fun.
  13. It shoots as soft or softer than any 2011 I have owned and is still the most accurate gun I’ve ever shot. Wish there was more parts support though.
  14. Standard 2011 rod will work
  15. That looks fine to me but ask Johnny if you really feel the need. I would just keep shooting it!
  16. Any SRO/RMR rail mount will work.
  17. Let us know how it turns out. Matt
  18. Yes, try to message them on social media?
  19. I started shooting IDPA years ago and everybody wanted heavy bullets and I always thought they felt good but wondered why the slide was slower to return. I think the majority of people shoot 124 or in that range now. 124 is a really nice all around feel and speed.
  20. I had a couple sight block limited guns a few years ago and loved them. They were tungsten sleeved barrels but the slide action was super fast.
  21. I’m not in a position to get a LO gun yet but am getting ready. Still have a lot of loaded 124g ammo. The draw of a slight block gun is the smaller and lighter slide. I would imagine it would be nice.
