I have a Trijicon RMR that uses ambient light and I really like it, do you happen to know if the SRO is same type sight? What exactly do you mean by stroke the slide and are you using aftermarket magazine base pads, springs and followers for the mags?

Oh and any load data for the Gold team gun? I have only heard that it takes more powder if you are using the barrel with the popple holes.

The CZ 75 TS Czechmate and Parrot both shoot 9mm Major ammo, though fine print says they can handle IPSC PF of 160 where USPSA is 165 and we all load hotter to make sure we always meet the PF and sometimes to maximize the comp. I ran across someone selling their Czechmate and they also reamed the barrel. Not sure if that is necessary or not. My STI DVC took the longer AOL just fine. So, I am not seeing a ton of USPSA current (>2018) youtube videos of people shooting the EAA Witness Gold Team Eric gun. Is this still a goto gun for Open division? I have to say the base price is attractive and I like that it does not come with the standard C-More. I want to get the smaller C-More or something that maybe you guys are running on your guns. Does anyone have info on the Gold Team years / models? I am looking at a 2007 model but not sure what is out there. Aslo, where are people buying mags and does anyone have experience with the trigger on the Gold Team? The newer CZs have a really nice trigger, I have the TSO .40 and that is a sweet trigger pull.

Hello, I am looking for a new race gun. I was not happy that STI changed their name and dropped their race gun line. Not looking for a custom gun and have seen the Tanfoglio guns at previous competitions. The gun comes stripped down with no site. What are people putting on them and where do you buy magazines. Does anyone know how the Tanfoglio Gold Custom Eric compare to the CZ 75 TS Czechmate? Thanks.

Ditto on the Longshot recipe. 9.4 grains of Longshot and getting 1322 fps (MGB 180 FMJ-FP) out of my 6" Tanfoglio Hunter, very accurate but I was did not check for any groups, just hitting steel at 25 yards.

I buy what is on sale, just depends on what you are doing with them. Most IPSC competitors shoot 180 grain bullets for easy power factor, I like the 165s but have both bullets for reloading.

I will chime it to see if anyone adds some load data for other than 9mm. I am not reloading shotgun anymore since lead costs too much and factory ammo can be purchased for less than it costs to reload. I have 4+ pounds of Alliant Promo left over and want to use it something.

You are not missing anything but where are you sourcing your brass that you are getting that many failures? It would have to be Glock brass from what I have heard. I ran all of my .40 through the GRX, its just worth my piece of mind, I also bought the GRX because I reload .357 SIG and that saves me a ton of time doing the GRX die and then running it in my Dillon 550 with just a whiff of lube for the cases. The GRX is worth it if you are running a ton of range .40 cal brass

Montana Gold 124gr JHP (no idea why but the JHP went faster then the CMJ) 1.165 OAL CCI Sorted headstamp brass to keep things somewhat consistent without trimming. Hodgdon LongShot 7.9 grs for ~1400 fps (I think its softer and I use Longshot for most of my calibers) This data is from Minnesota, I had to change my formula when I moved from Colorado to Minnesota.

Good lesson to go back to basics. Which progressive press are you using? There are a ton of light options now and you can always rig up a mirror. Can't say I have not had a squib before but certainly not many in over 30 years but the progressive press can be the problem, more so with something that is manually indexed versus automatic. I usually end up with rounds that have an upside down primer. Be nervous for awhile and then get back to cranking them out!
