  1. Good to know, I have a ton more SRP and have used them for other calibers. I need to test my 9mm Major loads again this month to verify some data and will run a batch of both just to confirm the data regarding running either SPP or SRP
  2. That is brilliant, I am going to check my known ones with a few that I have laying around.
  3. easy to install, not sure if they are available for that model, might check with Brownells, call them and give them the model, there might be a cross reference other that would work.
  4. If you are not using the gun for competition, you will be fine with the lighter spring, if you were shooting thousands of rounds, it might be an issue but a three pound difference should not be a big concern. You might look into buffer pads just to be on the safe side. The factory ammo should have data on the velocity of the round, with that you can calculate the power factor (bullet weight times the velocity) Example: 124 gr bullet at 1440 FPS equals 178,560 or a power factor of 178. That is what I use to drive my 9mm Major comp gun. Take a look at corbon and other defense ammo to calculate those power factors. A 178 PF is high, 165 is fine for competition and higher than the average factory ammo you find. Think about it as a hammer hitting the back of the gun, the harder the hammer the more damage to the base metal. There are a lot of videos on youtube about drills you can try. Look into a timer (phone app) and try some basic double tap drills between targets to check your ability to get back on target with the second shot.
  5. I love this thing! I know I can JUST unbolt it but after 100s of times of having a indexing issue, this is worth the money to me!
  6. First, which after market spring and where did you buy it from? The lower spring pressure will push the slide back faster but its a balancing act between how light and causing damage to the gun. Buffer pads can help but do you have other spring weights available? Are you shooting factory or reloads with a certain power factor you are trying for?
  7. You hit it on the nose! (LOL) I will have to run it out of my 1911 that has a better feed ramp than my glock and Sark.
  8. OK, I messed up, I bought some inexpensive bullets and reloaded them so they do not feed well. I have one gun that feeds them OK, need some ideas on fixing the problem and if anyone knows exactly what bullets these are since I threw the box away. Looks like Berrys or Rainier. OAL is 1.240. Its a light load, I am thinking about going down in OAL and see how it affects feeding. Any other ideas?
  9. Did you run any chrono tests between small pistol primers and small rifle primers? I am curious to your results. I have to run some tests for my 9mm Major load with the two different primers. I think I am getting faster velocity with the small rifle primers.
  10. Interesting looking but no. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  11. Could you post more details about load like, brass, trim to length, dies used (including bushing size), primers used and OAL. Thanks!
  12. Me too, you can pick your bushing size. Not sure the micrometer sizing die is necessary.
  13. I am starting with this data. H4350seems like the goto powder but each bullet weight seems to have its favorite powder. I am going to try H4350, RL15 & 17 and IMR 8208 for the 140s. https://load-data.nosler.com/load-data/65-creedmoor/
  14. Plus the Dillon Primer stop switch for XL 650 (ebay), I was always using the wrench to unscrew the primer advancing trigger and this is a really great gadget
  15. My go to powder no a days for most of my pistol calibers is Hodgdon LongShot, its a slower burning powder and does well in my 9mm, .40 cal., 357 SIG but I also really like CFE powders for both pistol and rifle (223 plinking rounds since it meters so well in a progressive). But like others have said on the list, whatever port in a storm when you can't find what you like.
  16. I like the idea, I was always trying to make the "all around" bullet but why not pack mags for with bullets for different jobs. Curious about your Sierra 77gr TMK load data and OAL.
  17. Does anyone reload differently when shooting the really short (pistol) style ARs in .223?
  18. That is great to hear, my RPR is on its way. Have you made any upgrades and if so, what. Do you reload and if so, with what bullet and powder?
  19. Looks good, you will enjoy, make sure to avoid double charges!
  20. And bullets.com had them for $20 / 1K and that is about what I got my last shipment of 20K primers for, kinda my goto price and not easy to find. I was going to use those to trade for large rifle primers locally, oh well. But Thanks.
  21. I would get the Uniquetek micrometer bar, you will be glad that you did but confirm with them that it will indeed dial down that low, I have not tried something that light with mine.
  22. I ordered the last 8 boxes of CCI primers so I thought and was notified that the order was cancelled. That was a bummer!
