Yeah... it was a joke.
It comes down to this: coupled, separate mags are not allowed. Mags that are to be used on a stage are to be carried on the belt or pocket (unless otherwise stated in the WSB). If you have two distinct mags butt-to-butt, you are carrying one that is not in a mag pouch or pocket, and a coupled mag.
The adapters that make one mag body act as an extension are allowed because they make one functional magazine.
USPSA and 3 gun would have to cease to exist, and I would take up bullseye and silhouettes (which are both fun anyway) for me to have ANY interest in shooting a revolver in competition.
Im classified in revo and have shot a few club matches, but it’s more punishment than fun IMO.
There were a total of 31 people shooting revolver at nationals last year, so if you practice a lot and have functioning legs, you could be the 2020 national champion....
Standard is a 17# I believe, so you may could drop it to a 14# or so (if they’re available). I haven’t seen much for the 4” guns.
Your ammo will be fine.
What division are are you planning on shooting? Caliber conversion isn’t legal for production or carry optics.
Here’s what I did for Carry Optics :
Thug Plug
#6 shot in the butt of the pistol
Tungsten Guide Rod
Wrapped mag extensions with steel wheel weights
If you really must have the heaviest striker fired gun, I’d suggest selling the Glock and buying a Sig.
Hit factor is what decides the number of stage points you receive on a stage. Match placement is decided by the number of match points you have, which is the sum of the stage points.
Could match HF work? Most likely, and I doubt much would change. But, that’s not how the system works.
