Two. The first is an indoor range 5 minutes from my house. Kind of expensive, but very convenient. Lane shooting only. 50' max. No drawing allowed. The second is a nice outdoor range 20 minutes from my house. Inexpensive but single shot, slow rate of fire, etc... I am going to try and quit both and put the money into a membership somewhere with action bays.

Such a phenomenal singer. When I was a little kid in the 70's, and my mother used to play her Lady Soul album all the time.

I've had pretty good luck by putting the seam, or the start of the griptape somewhere other than right where the most twisting pressure is going to be. If I have the griptape starting pretty close to where the meat of my weak hand thumb is going to be clamping and twisting, then it almost always moves eventually, even with careful prep. If I connect that section around the back to where my strong hand is clamping, it seems to hold better. That being said, I probably shoot fewer matches and don't grip as hard as some. Anyway, my point is that messing with the design pattern of the griptape, and where it starts and stops helped me a little, but it didn't solve it all together.

I'm a sucker for the P09. I will admit it is an acquired taste, and I have shot SP01s and Shadows that had better triggers. They just appeal to me, are very accurate, easy to work on, and with the large backstrap and some griptape, really solid in my grip.

Thank you for posting the video. Nice shooting! I have one of these, but have not taken to a match yet. Do you like having the dot forward on the barrel instead of back on the receiver?

My 550 is on the right. The cartridge bin is about 12" from the wall. Leaves me more room to do other stuff on the bench.

I went the MOS route because I was (and still am) unsure about which red dot I prefer. I'll probably have something milled if/when I make up my mind.

I keep one of those Thera-Band FlexBars at my desk at work. Originally it was to do the elbow therapy stuff, but there are a bunch of thing you can do with it that improve overall hand strength and wrist stability.

I've used a 550 for a while and have not messed up yet. I load pretty slowly though, and I advance that shell plate as soon as the handle is up. I also use an InLine LED light, look in each case and acknowledge the powder level before placing the bullet. Sometimes I even say "powder" when I see it. I also happen to use WSF which would overflow with a double charge.

2 per month right now because of the long summer days and a local range that does a really nice 6-stage, Tuesday afternoon/evening match that fits my schedule perfectly. Probably just 1 per month during the rest of the year....mostly just because of my work schedule.

I use the Atlas S-one hand guard, but it isn't light. Well, the hand guard is light, but their proprietary barrel nut is pretty heavy.

Upside down in a waist size circle on top of the pillow in the laundry hamper on the rolling chair that catches my mags when I dryfire.

I bought one and had a chance to shoot it a little over the weekend. Accuracy seems good with the iron sights. I put a FF3 on it and enjoyed that quite a bit. I thought the recoil impulse was mild and the bolt was quiet. I liked the trigger a lot, but once any trigger is under 5lbs and doesn't have a bunch of weird creep, I don't notice them that much. I shot some 115 grain PMC and some 124gr handloads and both ran fine with no problem. I only used glock mags. So, I realize I have not shot it a lot, and no matches with it or anything, but I do like it. It feels really solid and for whatever reason, I love that it is a takedown.

I would save up for the SP01 shadow. If I really needed it to be cheaper, I would probably skip the SP01 tactical model and get a used P09.

I've had trouble with the cell phone, and even more with the fluorescent light that used to sit over my bench. Now the phone stays across the room and I switched to LED light. Probably should have just bought a nice beam scale.

I have used a regular Geissele SSA for a long time, but I recently installed a Hiperfire 24 3gun and like it a lot.

I like the Jessup stuff. You can get big pieces of it on Amazon for $6.

Honestly, the one I still use the most is the old RUReady on a laptop. It says “are you ready”, “stand by”, then gives you a random start beep within a chosen range, any par you want, stop beep, and then repeats(endlessly) the whole thing after a reset time of your choosing. Even just getting that on my phone would be great. I suppose if I could choose the number of reps I would like it a little more.
