    CZ 75TS vs 2011

Holy crap...five years old, but since he resuscitated it, I guess I'll go ahead and ask... Does anyone else have trouble with coated bullets? I'm looking at maybe getting a TS, and not doing well with coated could be a deal breaker. Why do people think that the TS isn't competitive in limited? At the world shoot pretty much everyone from Europe runs them (or Tanfo), and they seem to do well.
  2. Anyone know why Max M. wasn't shooting Open?
  3. So, with the CZC base pads you don't have to use their follower and spring? You can use factory, but you will be minus one extra round vs the CZC?
  4. Thanks guys. So the TSO frame is about the same girth as the TS?
  5. How bad is the checkering on the original TS? I've read a lot of people use grip tape on it. I'm looking to get one but am not thrilled to have to use grip tape like on my SP-01. Is the TS Orange frame the same size grip as the original TS? I wish these weren't so rare.
  6. I would be in favor of #2 and #3. Half the time the ROs aren't even clear on the reloading rules and fault lines would reduce the subjectivity of cover calls.
  7. Thanks. That's a good idea. I'll have to get some.
  8. I'm wanting to use my 550b to load 223, but weigh the powder on a scale and then pour it in to station 2 instead of using the powder measure. I have one tool head set up for 223 for my "plinking" ammo. I was wanting to know if I could remove the powder measure, use different powder (one that's reputed to not meter well) dropped and weighed by hand for my hunting ammo, and just adjust the seating die for a different bullet. Do I just need this funnel? http://www.dillonprecision.com/plastic-funnel_8_3_23633.html What do I need?
  9. I've been considering a Stock 2 for some time now, since I find the original Shadow grip/frame size to be a little small for my hands. I hear the Tanfoglios large frame is better for larger hands. Does the new Shadow 2 have bigger grip/frame to better fit larger hands?
  10. "Snowballs? Snowballs? Where are the f%&!@ Twinkies?!?" Great movie. Thanks guy. I try to dry fire the morning of if I'm not running behind...I usually am.
  11. Do you dry fire the morning of a match? Live fire? Or do you just go in cold and do a couple draws at the safe area?
  12. I haven't found a good way to keep all my gun and reloading stuff organized. There are too many little items floating around and no seemingly good way to organize them. How do you do it? Pics of your rooms, cabinets, shelves, storage bins, etc would be appreciated.

    Scorpion for PCC

    Who do you work for?
  14. The forum used to ask me all the time if I wanted to open in TT...I never did. Now I can't figure out how to get it to open in TT.
  15. Not having a mobile version makes browsing a major PITA.

  17. Since the update its much bigger and less friendly for mobile browsing. I can't find any way to change it. Is it possible?
  18. Looks like its official... From Joyce in the newest TJ: "When it (the 2017 rule book) goes into effect next year, we will also be updating to the 1 second per point down rule. Our hope is that this rulebook will not need to be updated for 3-5 years." I think this is a big mistake on their part.
  19. I think it is fairly telling that half of the shooters in CO division at Area 3 were all pro shooters sponsored by specific gun manufacturers, and were shooting the division that their sponsor wanted them to shoot. That isn't a dig on any shooter---that's what being a pro shooter means, you shoot (and show how well the gun works) in the division that your sponsor chooses. That's their job. (I don't think it had anything to do with anyone wanting a division finish to brag about. Matter of fact, my BET would be that several of them would really have preferred to shoot a different division that they liked better. But it is their job, so they shot CO.) So it isn't a dig---it is a comment about the division itself, and how much interest there is in that division---when half of the entire division at an Area-level match is shooting it because it is their job to shoot that division, as opposed to their choice to shoot that division. Thank you for explaining my point way better than I did.
  20. Exactly. Jake is obviously is reading a little too deeply into this. I wasn't taking a swipe at Max.
  21. People are generally too quick to assign intent to something when they don't even know the people they are talking about. Kinda like you just did? I meant he's doing it for Sig more than himself, because it's probably not going to mean as much to him when he's not shooting against the best shooters in the world because they aren't shooting it.
  22. Yeah...and get another title in a division that most of the top people won't be shooting. Yeah I'm sure he's shooting that division because he's hiding from the real competition. Gimme a break. Stuff like that is why most pro shooters usually don't contribute here. Not sure that's what was meant. Some good shooters just want to get their GM card OR titles in as many divisions as are possible. I know at least one that's gearing up for PCC already to add to the listYeah...that's exactly what I meant. No shit Max is a top shooter, but I'd say he's shooting it more for Sig to be able to say "Sig 320 - CO Champ" than anything.
