  1. Thanks guys. I took the grips and slide off and checked it out. The springs were not riding in the grooves. I put it in on both sides, but kept having trouble with then popping out when I inserted a mag. After a little bending, I got them to stay in the grooves. I tried the RP fpbs again and it still hangs up at the last little bit of travel, even with the slide off and pushing on the fpb plunger with a punch. I have no clue why. I put the OEM in again and it works just fine.
  2. This is what mine looks like on both sides. It appears correct to me. I don't understand why I didn't have trouble with the rp fpbs before.
  3. I was looking at the CZ Custom hammer, the decocker model, for my SP-01 Tactical. Is it a drop in part like the CGW hammer or does it require fitting? http://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/fire-control/cz-comp-hammer-decocker-only.html
  4. I think I figured it out. It looked like the reduced power spring was somehow binding when it was getting close to compressed. I switched it out for the OEM spring and it works fine so far. The CGW RP fpb spring was quite a bit tighter in the block than the OEM...not sure why.
  5. The only thing I did to the hammer was polish the sides where it rubs the frame. As far as I can tell I reassembled the decocker correctly. Everything works fine with the slide off. The trigger is smooth, it decocks, etc. The problem is when the slide is put on it.
  6. That's the one part I didn't remove since I wasn't changing the mag release. I looked at the spring at it appears to be fine, riding underneath the trigger bar.
  7. I took my SP-01 Tactical completely apart and polished most of the stuff that is mentioned in the Atlas thread. When I put it back together the trigger was feeling really good...nice and smooth. Then after about 30 dry fires it started getting a catch right before the break, gradually getting worse until the trigger almost won't break, regardless of trigger pressure. When I take the slide off, it goes away. I block the hammer from smacking the frame with my finger, and squeeze the trigger and it is fine in both DA and SA. I took the slide apart and checked it out. Everything seems to be fine. When I put it back on, the same thing...good at first, gradually getting worse. So I took the slide off again and it seems the fpb plunger has a catch in it when pushed up, almost to the top of its stroke. This seems like where it would be catching as the trigger cycles. I do have a reduced power plunger spring. I didn't really polish much on the plunger, just the flat part and lightly in the hole...not much at all really. I did put a slight burr on the firing pin because I didn't have everything lined up when I tried to drive the retaining pin. I used the 1000 grit sandpaper to buff it out though, and I can't see it being the problem. I think the lifter is working properly, so I've narrowed it down to lifter or fpb plunger. What do you think? I'm frustrated.
  8. I'm wanting to sign up for a major match. I haven't had a classifier in almost a year and am pretty sure I'm gonna move up a rank. I think ill be shooting a classifier this month or next. If I sign up at my current classification and go up a notch before the major, will that be a problem? Will it be an easy fix at the match?
  9. How much thicker is the frame? Is it close to a large frame tanfo?
  10. Is there any functional difference between the anodized and non-anodized versions?
  11. Yes, you are wasting your time. I don't have a case feeder, so I just clean the brass (tumble) and spray some lube on the cases and let them dry a few hours... Do you lube cases even with carbide dies?
  12. Do you... Measure case length? Clean primer pocket? Chamfer/deburr? Anything else? I've been doing all of this after tumbling. I just got a Dillon and am wondering if I'm wasting my time doing all this case prep before loading. I've been shooting more, so I upgraded from a single stage press and am trying to figure out ways to make loading faster.
  13. Has anyone compared these? I have a couple of the classics for Glock mags and they are high quality. I'm looking for a couple for my CZ for IDPA because I don't want to chance my Ghost pouches being illegal. I was gonna save a few bucks if they were close to as good functionality wise. Is kydex really that much better than the plastic?
  14. I took it out the other day for the first time in a while. I propped a target up in front of it and shot through it. It worked perfect except for one really high reading.
  15. Shoot it NFC. 8.2.7 Not For Competition (NFC) 8.2.7.1 IDPA encourages shooters to practice their gun handling skills with commonly carried firearms. Many everyday carry firearms do not fit into the 6 competition divisions. 8.2.7.2 IDPA allows clubs to add a Not for Competition scoring division for Tier 1 matches only. This division allows cartridges smaller than 9 mm, carry optics, activated lasers, non-illuminated mounted lights, and other pistols which do not fit into the other competition divisions to participate in local club matches. 8.2.7.3 All other IDPA equipment rules apply for holsters and loading device holders as well as their placement on the body. Match Directors also have the option to allow junior shooters with .22 rimfire firearms to begin strings at low ready in lieu of requiring a holster. 8.2.7.4 All IDPA membership rules apply. 8.2.7.5 Clubs are not required to implement this provision, and Match Directors are allowed discretion with implementation so that match quality remains high.
  16. If their weight is accurate, it will weigh 46.91oz. That would make it illegal for IDPA SSP, which would suck.
  17. I'm really interested to know MSRP and ETA in the USA.
  18. Maybe I'm a bit squeamish but I wouldn't even think about removing/replacing an adjustable rear sight using a punch. ...or night sights.
  19. Yeah. I just installed a pair of CGW sights with a hammer and punch. The hard part for me is the fine tuning...it's tough to be precise with a hammer. I got it, but it's a pain in the ass. I thought the MGW is $300 + ~$17 for the shoes. The CZC pusher is $100 and only does CZ guns. The MGW would be cheaper and more versatile in the long run. I emailed MGW and they confirmed that it works with most 75 variants.
  20. I'm looking at this sight pusher. It's expensive, but might be worth it over several guns and several years. My question is will the CZ75 shoe work for the variants, like the SP-01, CZ85, and Shadow? I think the slide rails are probably the same dimensions across the model lines, but not sure.
  21. I listen to Stoegers PPS and occasionally Shooters Mindset. Do any other top level shooters do podcasts or any other show where top level shooters are interviewed?
  22. I wonder if they have addressed any issues, like the trs spring breakage and slide stop problems on this upcoming model.
  23. Does anyone know if it will it replace the Shadow or just be an upgrade?
  24. Whats different about it?
