Could you guys fill me in on what "stepped brass" is? I've been reloading for about 7 years. Until now, I've used my own Win brass collected from shooting factory loads.

I have a hard time really being able to visualize it. I've tried, but its not been very helpful yet. When you guys visualize is it as you'd see it through your eyes or like you're watching yourself do it?

I know in IDPA they tell you where to go and the order to shoot, but I feel like even in USPSA you need to have a plan and stick to it. I think I'd have some of the same problems.

I just started shooting IDPA, and have 5 or 6 matches under my belt. Our matches are once a month. I plan on eventually shooting USPSA. My problem is the buzzer going off, getting overwhelmed, and having to think about the order in which to shoot it. Tactical priority seems to give me trouble...if i mess it up, I just don't realize at the time that I shot the targets out of order. Is this something that gets better/easier with experience? How can I better prepare myself mentally for stages instead of going blank and on auto-pilot or having to pause and think? I've been in the top 5 shooters every time, but I feel like if I could get the mental part improved, I'd be able to be significantly faster. Procedural errors and stutters have cost me stages. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When using range-scavenged brass do you sort brass into groups by headstamp? Do you use or not use certain brass? What precautions do you use, if any, before beginning the loading process? I've been picking up brass after my IDPA matches. I just want to make sure I'm using enough caution to ensure the brass is good to load. Anything to watch for?

I just got an email from Brownells...the streamlights are $10 off. The tlr1 is a great light. And yes, I read vogels is filled with lead for weight and recoil control.

Anyone know if Warren Sevignys will work with MOS?

This is a question I'm interested in too. I'm debating whether or not to get the mos just to have the option of going back and forth with a red dot, but don't want to sacrifice putting a good set of irons on it.

Does it help much to change the recoil spring and guide rod on the compacts? Other than that and the magwell, I can't think of much else on my 23 I want to change.

What pistol did you order it for? Glock 19, OWB model for IDPA CCP.

I got it today...ordered 5/23. I'm very happy with that. Weird thing is I just got the shipped notification today. Its a nice holster.

I was thinking about doing some mods on my G23 w/ 9mm conversion for CCP. I thought I'd see what set-ups others have. Is there a mag well out there narrow enough to be legal?

That's part of what got me thinking about it. I saw Matt Burketts vid and he gets on Elpers for dropping it on a 2011.

Thanks guys. Like most things in shooting, there's so much conflicting info out there. I figured it was fine, but wanted to check. The difference, I figured, between dropping it empty and actually firing the gun is picking up the new round out of the mag slows the slides forward travel at least a little.

Is it OK to drop the slide when practicing reloads? I'm transitioning to a reload with the slide catch instead of power stroking it and want to run it dry a lot to build muscle memory. Is there anything wrong with letting it slam forward?

I recently swapped the factory sights out on a G23 with some Trijicons. I started at 5yds...right on. Backed it to 10yds...right on. I was in a hurry and just wanted to see how close I had installed it. What range do you do your final tweaking at?

What do you know? I send them an email, and magically my order ships. 1 out of 3 orders were shipped without emailing them. I think I'm done with them unless I can't find it somewhere else.

I ordered something and had to email them a week later. I got an email back saying it should have shipped the same day...no apology or explanation. Next, I ordered a DVD..shipped the same day. I ordered something again last Sunday...haven't heard a word. I don't like having to hound people to get my stuff. Maybe Midways exemplary service has spoiled me. BSPS seems pretty hit or miss.

Do they send a tracking # when it ships? I ordered a DVD 4 days ago and haven't heard anything yet. I didn't create an account, so I can't look at the status under my account.

I need to get 3 mag pouches for my S&W Shield for an IDPA BUG match. This will probably be the only thing they will be used for since I don't typically carry a reload while CCWing...so I don't really want to spend $90+ on them. Any suggestions?
