  1. I'm not finding this deal. Where's it at?
  2. Do you guys like how they handle? Balance, recoil, etc? Do they reload nicely? Is the magwell good? Is the mag release about the right size?
  3. And not everyone has time, money, etc to practice as much as they should...but that doesn't change what you need to do to get better. I've heard enough really good shooters say that matches are where you track improvement and practice is were you actually improve, that I have no reason to doubt them.
  4. I've been looking for a limited gun for a while now. I'm going back and forth on the CZ TS40 and the Tanfo Limited 40. My main concern is reliability. Is the Limited reliable? I've read that the TS is pretty solid out of the box, but I've read kinda spotty stuff about the Limited... although it was several years old. It seems parts are much more readily available than they were even a few years ago. What upgrades are needed on the Limited? The TS seems to have a better trigger out of the box and needs basically nothing. I don't need or want a super light trigger, just crisp. The Limited only comes with one mag, and mags with extended base pads are kinda pricey. TS comes with 3 mags. Even though the TS seems more ready out of the box, I'm still drawn to the Limited. I like that it has better checkering and shares the grip size with the Tanfo production models (I think). Anyway, what are your thoughts and experiences competing, shooting, modifying, etc with the Tanfo Limited?
  5. Or you could go to the range and practice what you need to do to get better. I think that would be better use of a free weekend.
  6. Ghost pouches are cheap and used by some of the top guys. Plus, they aren't gun specific, so you can use them for other guns if you were to switch ever.
  7. Yeah. When you have people standing around before the stage starts, acting like an interrogator, asking about every possible scenario in the stage and if it's legal, you know that your rules are bad. Now the "clarified" rules seem almost as confusing/contradictory. This pretty much makes up my mind about not renewing my membership. I really wanted to make Master, and I'm sure I could under the current rules since I've improved a lot since my last Expert classifier...but what good is making Master if they're lowering the bar anyways. It won't mean anything to me.
  8. Yeah...I'm really surprised by PCC. And they limited it to 10 rounds. How does PCC fit in to IDPAs "fundamental principles"? "Principles of Shooting IDPA Equipment Principles - Allowed equipment will meet the following criteria: Concealable - all equipment except flashlights will be placed so that, when wearing a concealment garment with your arms extended to your sides and parallel to the ground, it cannot be seen from the front, rear, or sides. Practical - Must be practical for all day concealed carry self-defense, and worn in a manner that is appropriate for all day continuous wear. " I figured if they added anything it would be carry optics. And the fault lines aren't required. I think that was a mistake. ...and...did they really need another penalty? Flagrant Penalty? Really?
  9. As far as I know, they all come with black barrels. CZC polishes their barrel hoods, so they are shiny.
  10. Do you finding the Tanfos harder to reload than CZ? I've never messed with Tanfo, so I didn't know how they compare.
  11. I'm trying to hold out as long as I can for the TS Orange, but it's not looking promising that they are gonna get it here in any quantity any time soon. We're gonna be swimming in Shadow 2s before we see TSOs that are readily available. Don't get me wrong...I'm glad the Shadow 2s are on the way, but I want both.

    I bought a Shadow 2

Thanks Pat. Is the magwell better on the Shadow 2? It looks more beveled. Is it any bigger? Easier to reload? I'd like to see someone compare the girth at the top, middle, and bottom of the grips, by measuring with a cloth tape or something, to compare the Shadow, Shadow 2, and Stock 2.
  13. We're gonna have Shadow 2s here before we get an TS Oranges available. How many TSOs are they making a month? 5?

    I bought a Shadow 2

Sounds great. Can you please be detailed on the grip size difference/similarities? I haven't been able to get a good answer to this yet. Thanks.
  15. If I were buying/building a limited gun, there's no way I'd make it 9mm.

    Shadow 2 msrp

Matt: How does the grip size compare to the old Shadow? Is it still small for big hands or did they make it larger? How is the grip size-wise compared to a Stock 2?

I remember this thread answered your questions, but I don't remember what the answer was....
  18. Did they give you any trouble about you not being the original owner? Did you have to pay for shipping? Did you get your Dawson sights back?
  19. I hope they hurry it up.
  20. Can he do Tactical Sport barrels too? Blue bullets 147gr FP were the bullets that let me load the longest with my SP-01.
  21. I've been using a decocker SP-01. It's definitely not holding me back. I started out with the "must do mods", then eventually did them all. The trigger is fantastic. The only reason I'm thinking about switching is to go to Tanfo because of the bigger grip. The P09, from what little I've handled it, seems like it would be a great polymer gun once you put some skate tape on it.

    CZ 75TS vs 2011

That was my initial thought too, but I thought I'd ask.
