  1. What...no ones excited about the new Colt Competition 1911? http://www.gundigest.com/guns/competitive-colt-colt-competition-1911-review
  2. Every time I think I know what I'm gonna do, I change my mind. CGW said turn around time is 3-4 weeks...I'd rather not be without my gun for that long. So now I'm leaning towards trying it myself.
  3. Could someone name these guys for someone who was born 3 years prior to this?
  4. I like the XD's, but the "grip zone" written all over it looks cheezy as hell.
  5. Im curious to hear more about this if you may have pics or more details http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/pmag-21-gl9-magazine-for-glock-9x19-prod83660.aspx?cm_mmc=Email-_-Spop-Email-_-lm_12599604-_-www_brownells_com_search__3&cm_lm=fire_starter_9000%40yahoo.com&cm_mmca1=BR_Promotions_011916_SHOTShow+(1)&spMailingID=12599604&spUserID=Mjg4ODIwOTY4MzIS1&spJobID=663546412&spReportId=NjYzNTQ2NDEyS0http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/pmag-27-gl9-magazine-for-glock-9x19-prod83661.aspx?cm_mmc=Email-_-Spop-Email-_-lm_12599604-_-www_brownells_com_search__3&cm_lm=fire_starter_9000%40yahoo.com&cm_mmca1=BR_Promotions_011916_SHOTShow+(1)&spMailingID=12599604&spUserID=Mjg4ODIwOTY4MzIS1&spJobID=663546412&spReportId=NjYzNTQ2NDEyS0
  6. Magpul released some Glock mags that are legal for limited and open without base pads.
  7. I'm still kinda on the fence about this.
  8. quoteI'd guess they'll be right around the corner.
  9. By the time you buy those, you might as well just get a set of Dillon dies. They are set up for use on Dillon presses. I already have these except the $30 taper crimp die.
  10. That's kinda my plan...550 to load several different cartridges, then possibly upgrade down the road if I feel the desire.
  11. I doubt it. Now the numbers on the target will be your seconds down...no more dividing in half.
  12. There's a guy in youtube, his name is abyss something or other...he's got good videos. I'm not sure if he does the manual safety version, but I know he does the decocker. A lot of it is the same as the safety version though...same with the shadows. The Atlas thread is great. Also this one: http://www.olegnikitin.com/news/complete-disassembly-assembly-of-cz-75-sp-01-shadow
  13. Does anyone make a good adjustable rear sight for the SP-01 (not Shadow)?
  14. I'm trying to follow you here...are you saying to loctite the chicago screw to the holster so it won't spin?If you have enough room run dime blue loctite down the sides of screw to the nut or whatever in the old version. It stripped the plastic that's holds the nut in place. Or needle point super glue to glue the nut down so it doesn't move. Done this in a mag pouch before with the super glue trick. Keeps the nut in place so u can turn screw That's a good idea. Thanks.
  15. So and therefore, extra $'s for an adjustable rear sight is a more attractive option than it may at first seem, if the OP is fussy like I am about POI matching POA (and sometimes it sucks to be me) . I am. Whats a good adjustable sight? I've read people were having problems with the hajo.

  17. This. Good grief this. If you don't have a vice, let someone else deal with the torment, and pay them to do so. I did this twice and I'm out of the rear sight removal business on CZ's. That makes me a little nervous.
  18. Did you guys have to do any filing on the sight? How hard is it to make small adjustments with a hammer and punch?
  19. I've installed sights on a Glock with a sight pusher. I don't have a pusher for CZ. I've got a vice and soft clamps. The sights that are on my SP-01 Tactical are the factory tritium sights. I'm looking at the CGW sights. They will install them for about $25, but then I have to ship my slide to them. I'm worried then that they may not be exactly sighted in at distance and they might need a little adjusting by me anyway. Should I try to put them on myself? How hard is it?
  20. I have a Bladetech holster I bought about 5 years ago for a CZ SP-01 with the tek-lok attachment. I just ordered another BT holster with the stingray attachment. I was going to swap the belt attachments on the holsters. I have one screw on the old holster that won't come out. I noticed the screws on the new holsters now have slots on them, so I thought maybe that's why they were changed. Any advice on how to get the screw broken loose? It's just turning on the inside and I can't get on it with anything to keep it from spinning. Would applying some heat, maybe a hair dryer, help? Thanks.
  21. Ok. Thanks guys. I think I get the picture now. I couldn't figure out how I was going to use my Redding expander die and get it to work with the powder drop. So really the only dies that I will need to supply are a sizer, seater, and crimp die?
  22. Maybe I'm confused. Don't you have to use a powder through expander die for the machine to charge the round automatically? The Dillon expander would accomplish this, right? I guess I'm confused about using my Redding expander die, how it works with the powder drop. Is the Dillon "powder die" that come with the press the part that expands and controls the powder dropping?
  23. I've been reloading for about 7 years on a single stage press. Until last year when I started competing I was fairly low volume...reloading mainly for hunting and lower volume plinking. Now I'm shooting faster than I can reload, so I'm looking to get a Dillon 550B. I've used Redding dies almost exclusively. My question is with the powder drop. Would I have to get a different expander die that is a powder drop expander? Would the dies I alreadt have work? Should I just get the Dillon dies?
  24. I've read about people putting white cardboard over the sunscreens. Anyone tried this?
  25. I tried again yesterday with a little better luck. I had 3 errors out of 20 rounds...still too many. I used the diffusers and stood back 10-15'. I'll have to try the cardboard in front of it. It was fairly sunny. It's still frustrating me.
