    Safe Table

Here is my thing. Agree with the rule or don't agree with the rule your job, as an RO, is to enforce the rules not interpret them how you see fit. If they are out they are out. If they want shooters "wholly outside the box" then they need to write it that way. Otherwise let them game it.
  2. I like glocks for all the same reasons that have been listed. Definitely buy used and borrow equipment to find out what you like. Most of us (including myself) did not borrow equipment and just bought what we thought we would like. I know have multiple belts, holsters, and mag pouches.
  3. Drilled and tapped my mag pouch as well, but just bought a $5 magnet from fleet farm. But clearly you don't want my advice because I already told you this. HA!!
  4. I can not speak for Brian, but Dillon only does for active duty and I do not believe that any Dillon dealer can offer any deals on presses. That is why no matter where you order a press from it is the same price.
  5. I am of the opinion that if it is a small infraction of little to no advantage then just inform them and move on. On the other side if I am at a major (where everybody should know the rules) and there is a rule violation then I would tell someone. Although I am there for fun and I am not going to be winning anything I want a even format to compare myself on for self-evaluation. 3 gun does not have a whole lot of rules so no excuse not to follow them.
  6. I loved mine. I had them on my stock 3 and limited. They are about .210 of an inch thinner. I never had any cracking issues, but they got dirty pretty quick (bright green). Very nice guy to deal with as well.
  7. 20k for uspsa plus a handful of 3 gun and tactical shotgun matches
  8. You have to move the wipers, change the tube, and the height of the deck. I do it all the time and once you have it figured out can be done in a couple minutes.
  9. I have the hornady and love it for 9 and 45. I can still out run it though, but I have to really be rocking, around the 1000 a hour pace. I load Bayou Bullets and just can't get the bullet feeder tube for 40 to work well. I gave up on that tube and use the 45 tube for 40 and it works a lot better now.
  10. I agree that it is the sear spring. I just purchased a 2011 that the sear spring was all bent up to get a light trigger and was getting doubles or more. replaced the sear spring and no more issues.
  11. I love the DAA thumb rest and would also suggest an EGW sear. You have to shape it yourself, but you can take out a lot of the reset travel. I also use coppergungrips.com as they are almost a 1/4" thinner and have an aggressive grip.
  12. What distance are you shooting at?
  13. I don't know if it is illegal, but I have always been told that if you hit anything that is brown then you get the appropriate score. Easy fix get black tape, and the right thing to do.
  14. Nothing to worry about. When you seat the magazine hard it bumps the slide enough for the slide stop to disengage.
  15. Last year was great and the first part of this year should be good. I think I averaged 12 matches a month sometimes more. I am lucking to live in MN where as soon as the weather breaks that there is multiple matches a day at our local clubs. This might slow down as having a kiddo at the end of June.
  16. Definitely declare. All they are going to see is a gun and the fact you did not declare such thing.
  17. Right there with you on bringing extra rounds. I generally bring double what the expected round count is.
  18. I carry mine on and off duty. I love it. Don't expect a "pocket" gun to have an awesome trigger. I really like it as you can carry it in any attire, blue jeans, dress pants, shorts, whatever. I have never had a malfunction and have around 1000 rounds through mine. The mag extension is a must though.
  19. run a seat n crimp combo die to open up a station.
  20. Area 5 last year had a stage where I took this just a little further. Standing outside the box heels touching left fault line. I tried the 1 in and 1 out. RO would not start me. I did not press the issue and mainly did it just to start the conversation whether it was legal or not.
  21. I just set up my separator plates to run with my bucket bolted to my tumbler and love it. I drilled holes in the edges of the plates and wedged 223 brass in them to create space for the brass to fall through. Almost 2 5 gallon pails with no effort and under an hour. If you did not have a lot of 223 this would be done in like 15 minutes. It was crazy loud though.
  22. vibraprime. Like lots have stated that it takes a bit to get the angles down, but 90% 100 primers in under 15 seconds. Love it
  23. I have shot both and can not tell the difference so I go with the 180s as they are cheaper.
