  1. But not minus the entire comp. The barrel ends just shy of the first port.
  2. I did as zzt described on my wife Q5 SF. It was hitting the glass on an RTS2. Problem solved.
  3. My 22/45 has an RTS2 6moa as all my open and CO guns do.
  4. I have had a spring break once. It will then fte occasionally. I knew something is wrong. Replaced it and back on track. I know change them more often.
  5. Forgot as stated above, aftec springs and cap.
  6. Aside from a 2nd gun, grip screw and nut, safety, slide stop, battery and Allen wrenches for all screws on gun(and your rig). That is all I carry but would most likely go to 2nd gun if something happened.
  7. I have had 0 issues with my Dawson mags.
  8. I have not had any issues and am prob 15k rnds in with the crimson one. Def worth it.
  9. That is 2 completely different feeling guns. One not necessarily better than the other, but drastic handling characteristics. Personally prefer bull/hybrid w/ti comp vs a big weight at the end.
  10. I use dish soap and citric acid for 1.5hrs. I have tested a bunch of things, wax, dish soap, dishwasher soap, etc. I think the citric acid is the most important. I get 5# bag from Amazon for $15.
  11. I use the same. Walmart also sells them. They last a very long time. Always carry an extra pair and once in a while you get a dud. And always on the coldest morning!
  12. Mine are always stuck in the flash hole. Not sideways as shown above. Tired of broken decapping pins.
  13. I tried ballcones as I was tired of stuck pins in the flash hole. Unfortunately they were not magnetic and a pita. Make sure if you buy pins or any other style of media, that is it magnetic. Not all stainless is magnetic. I now tumble with no pins. I won't go back to pins.
  14. Not sure why 38 would get you to GM and not 9mm? 9 got me there just fine. I think this is the stupidest debate(not directed at you Jack). Pretty much ford vs chevy. Shoot what you like to shoot. The cost of brass is insignificant when you break it down and include match costs, travel expenses plus 2 or 3 $5-7k open guns and gear. I chose 9 because that is all I load and shoot and didn't see the need to load something else. Never have had an issue or doubted my decision. 3 shooters I shoot with have switched from 38 and re-barreled to 9. I also shoot with several 38 shooters. Everyone's guns work. Another thing to look at is see how long a 9mm open gun lasts in the classifieds vs a 38......
  15. Lights strikes can also be a sign of not seating the primers deep enough. I only use WSP and have never had an issue.
  16. Pretty broad brush there, I would have to disagree. I have not tried 3n38 as I load w/ a Mark7 and don't feel like cleaning powder, but the other 2 are ok. HS6 has serious dot noise vs WAC and WAC was also a flatter for me. Did not feel any softer. I really don't chase softness as all I really care about is that the dot comes back exactly where is was as fast as it can(I know it is more than powder choice). AA7 was ok, but way too dirty for me. Did not make enough difference for me to stick with it. It works for some and that is great. Have not tried lovex or silo yet. I have tried CFE and it is very similar to WAC.

    GM/M

I went the other direction and it worked for me. I went fast and the accuracy came later. I hear the same thing and I think it is easier to make someone accurate vs making someone fast.
  18. No preference except the JB plastic bond might not stick as well as the others. It is urethane and sometimes doesn't play well with others. I am a fan of acraglas gel/reg.
  19. Try something else. I have used acraglas gel, reg epoxy and jb plastic bond (urethane) with zero issues. you can remove it all and start over.
  20. This should give you a little more insight. Great deal on a "T-shirt" at the end of the comments. FB post
