  1. Why don't you just rebarrel and change some things on the gun you have? Lighten slide, new sight mount/sight, new comp, Evo grip, etc. You can send it to Gans and he can make it like a new gun in 2 weeks. Gans Guns
  2. Got it. I read it as other options meaning you would get another sight. Missed the "later".
  3. I agree. While they now work flawlessly, they took a lot of work to get running in all my guns.
  4. You can almost get 2 Everglades for the price of 1 arredondo. It also only has 3 holes and no blast shield.
  5. I have used Cheely comps (ti and steel). They worked great. Tested a Matt McClearn 13-5 and put them on both guns. Awesome comp.
  6. Mine is at 42.8oz with my lightest mag.
  7. It was the Universal. It may be slick, but it was slow. I am happy with M1 and done trying other oils. The lucas extreme is not bad in the summer when it is 117'.
  8. I felt that the lucas extreme slowed the slide down too much even in warm temps. Also tried wilson combat and it was way too thick. Still using Mobil1 and sticking with it.
  9. Pull the battery tray out and put it back in. If your dot stays on it's a V4.
  10. Try bending the contacts to touch the battery a little stronger.
  11. Here you go. AA7 on the left, HS6 on the right. I was at 10.6 with a 115 when I tried it and it was not compressed.
  12. I prefer 115's as they feel softer. I have tried several powders and use wac. No spillage on a Mark7.
  13. I hate shooting without one. I have tried many and am currently using a modified GG Opp Extreme.
  14. You can also get nylon spacers at Home Depot for $0.65. I am running 3 of them with a 5015hd and Orange spring in a 14.5" brl.
  15. Then it is not all the way on. Mark it with a black marker and see where it is still keeping it from going on all the way. There should not be a gap. The front grip screw hole will also line up.
  16. I didn't mean it like that, my bad if it came out wrong. When I started, I could feel minor differences. I know several shooters that have been shooting for a very long time and some feel changes and some can't, regardless of their classification.
  17. I think everyone can tell the differences in a gun differently. Some not at all. I personally can tell the difference from different lubes, fps's, springs, bullet weights, ti/steel comp, diff comps, powders, etc. I change stuff all the time to see what I like and can't leave good enough alone. I have friends who can't tell the difference. Fwiw, been shooting just over three yrs and GM.
  18. The button will not fit into the frame. It will bash the crap out of it. Someone I know put the larger one in an sti frame and it was all messed up. Only buy the smaller head version. I think EGW has changed the part numbers to only one as they only make the smaller head version to fit all frames.
  19. I shoot my major rounds regardless of the kind or match. Steel, bianchi, steel challenge, etc. It is just practice for me. I used to have 2 loads and even had a steel gun built. Now only shoot major and have two identical major guns.
  20. I also only have several hundred rounds thru it but prefer it slightly to the 5007. I am running an orange spring and 3 spacers(home Depot).
  21. Loaded up some AA7 to try and still prefer WAC w/115's. Load was 115gr MG w/10.6gr and 121gr MG w/10.0gr both at 170-171pf. 3 3/16" holes. The big difference was shooting a bill drill. Had the same result with HS6.
