  1. I like this video for beginners for drawing And I can't find the other one for reloads but it's a max Michelle video.
  2. I'm sitting in a corner in Marshalls while the old lady shops. Gotta pay my dues for the Cabelas visit a half hour ago
  3. I'm not sure if we're on the same page. If you pull off the rear scope cap, completely off, there is a plus and minus with a zero in the middle underneath of that. That is the actual Focus for different vision.
  4. Did you try turning the focus ring? Not the zoom ring.
  5. I can't speak for the PST never seen or tried one but I had a lot of good luck with my Strike Eagle. Here's a link to a good price http://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-strike-eagle-1-6x24-riflescope-with-ar-bdc-reticle.html They're also making a 1-8 Strike Eagle now but haven't seen that one either. Last winter upgraded to the Razr HD and it's really amazing.
  6. I can't really tell in the video if anything is binding it looks smooth to me. Maybe add a little grease to the wire that moves the shuttle. There are two things I found that help with the shell plate jumping into position. 1 put some thick grease on the plate where the balls ride to slow it down 2 push the balls up a little higher in the shell plate. Another thing is technique, I don't use a bullet feeder so all my left hand is doing is putting bullets in. I look in the case as it comes down and place the bullet just before it clicks in to catch the powder. I put a tray on the front of the press for the heads https://i.imgur.com/wXMeCgc.jpg[/img]

  11. So did anyone here shoot this match? How did it go? How was the weather? Will you go again next year?
  12. Here's my experience with 2011 mags, all 9mm. I bought 5 of the old school STI mags to get me started all stock. They worked for a while right out of the package. The springs started to wear out pretty quick so I tried some aftermarket springs that would fit the stock follower. I had a few problems here and there and it turns out all the problems were caused by the stock followers. Once I listened to everyone and switched to grams springs and followers with the tab ground off I never had a single problem again. The only thing that took some getting used to is the slide not locking back but with a 2011 you should never slam a mag in with the slide locked back anyway. Was eventually convinced that I need to start wasting more money so I bought an overpriced MBX 140 mag. What a POS that thing turned out to be. First, it wouldn't seat in my Apeiro and my frame is debured. I called shootersconnection to try and return it, guy said sure ship it back. So 8 more bucks down the drain to ship it back, I get an angry phone call from the owner, bla, bla, bla, he ends up grinding a chunk out of it and ships it back to me. Then I look on the MBX website for a phone number and what do you know, there isn't one. I guess if you sell shit you don't want to hear about it all day. To shorten it up a bit I'm stuck with this thing. So a gunsmith friend got it working for me and its working for about 3 matches. Then all of a sudden the rounds start getting stuck side by side about 1/3 of the way down the tube costing me spots overall. This is now a practice mag and still gives me this problem. People that pay to much for certain things will say good things about said products to make themselves feel better about wasting money. A few months ago I got 2 of the new style STI bodies, put grams guts in and stock basepads. These 2 mags have been 100% perfect from day 1 and I'm sold on them. I have just over 80 bucks each in them and like I said they are awesome. Some people say that grams shouldn't be used in the new style STI's but there are lots of people doing it and it's working for them to. Also I'm beyond tired of hearing about mag X fitting 2 more rounds than mag O because you want to shoot a whole stage without changing a mag. Go shoot open ya lazy no skilled prick.
  13. Disclaimer: I do not know from experience I'm just researching this topic alot right now. It looks like alot of guys are using the taccom light weight buffer. I'm thinking this one but they also have one you can add different weights https://taccom3g.com/product/rifle-recoil-system/
  14. Remington gun club 7 1/2 shot and fiochichi Aero low recoil slugs.
  15. Yeah mbx are great especially when the follower turns on it side so rounds go next to it jamming it up and costing you 2 spots overall.
  16. Maybe just try calling stoger on the phone, not email, and ask them. If it's not supposed to do that they will probably just send you a new one.
  17. I got 2 of the new style 140 9mm complete mags and the stock followers that came with the mags were sticking up pretty far but not actually comin out. I didn't even load them I just bought grams guts and ground off the lock tab. Been running perfectly so far.
  18. I have to recommend the pocket pro 2. Really simple to use, big screen, big numbers, loud beep, .10-199.90 par time. We love ours and the people at Competition Electronics are top notch.
  19. The next match is Sunday July 23rd. This match and all matches at Quinton sportsmans club are open to the public. 20. The standard load (go to load) for the service rifle guys is the 77gr SMK at mag length (2.260) and 24gn of Varget. That's out of a 20"HBAR with a 1:7 twist. I have a bunch of them left over from my service rifle days and now use them for 3 gun at anything over 250 yards out of a stretch 16 1:8 twist. They are really accurate, check out this shot at 42 seconds I'm sure you know that Varget does not meter well out of a regular powder measure and each charge has to be weighed either the old school way or with an auto scale.
  21. I'm not really sure what this thread is about I never had to much trouble with cases tipping. One problem I had was if I tighten the screw on the "V" blocks they jam up between the shell plate and the v block. I finger tighten the screw and back it off 1/4 turn and it runs smoothly. I used some blue locktite on that screw and that gummy gue keeps the screw from moving.
  22. That's a great idea, I'm going to do the same. Thanks
  23. Do you leave that in there for pistol brass to or do you have to remove it? Can you make me one of them?
