  1. I have a really slow barrel in my current open gun. Schuemann 9mm shorty with 3 small poppel holes. The same load that made 170pf of my sv imm with two large holes in the barrel makes like 160pf or less out of this gun. My question is would this correlate to being harder on the gun to run a much hotter load to make the same pf? The load was aa7 10.5gr with a 115 Bullet. I can’t use 115 grain with this gun because I would have to get up to like 11+ grains to make major now. So I’ve tried a 125gr and at 10 grains it makes on average 163pf with a coated Bullet. I’ll have to go up to like 10.2 or more with a 124 jacketed Bullet to make 165+pf. I’m also curious if a “slower barrel” makes the same pf load feel harsher.
  2. Me and a friend had custom guns built the same time. Within a week of each other. His was tight mine was loose. Movement up down and side to side. And not even in the front compared to the back. They vary.
  3. The cheely does look nice now that they do the aggressive like everyone else.
  4. I’ll have to call again. I called a month or so ago and was waiting for an email of them being back in stock. Never got one.
  5. My thought is that is not necessary
  6. I actually haven’t shot it yet, I’ve had a lot of unexpected things happen lately and haven’t had a chance. I’ve owned an sv imm before and a heavy steel grip open middy and they were both much softer in the hand than this was with a plastic grip so I expect the feel to have softened up significantly. I’ll update once I get some rounds through it hopefully soon.
  7. Anybody find taran followers to give problems bs grams? I grabbed a couple tartan followers when they were on sale. Seem to be similar Just curious if taran are worse than grams.
  8. Where did you buy it from and what does it look like?
  9. Not necessarily. I liked the evo. I don’t have small hands it it fit well. Then I got an sv which is a lot thinner and I didn’t like it at first but got used to it and preferred it over the evo after a bit. Mags would stick in a evo and not an sv which made me like the sv even more. Then I got the l10. A perfect balance between an sv an evo and mags dont get wedged and stuck like an evo does. Cheely texture isn’t aggressive enough and is ruled out for me
  10. Feels the best out of all of them. Perfect width and contour IMO
  11. Just curious, what do you use for Bullet weight and powder?
  12. can you throw a caliper on the width of the rib closest to the threads?
  13. anything will work really, one way is more enjoyable IMO.
  14. Lol , what do you think? Cut the head off a nail so you can fit the shaft of the nail in the tool. . Round off the tip of the nail with a file, bench grinder, a (locally sourced)rock, sand paper, your sidewalk, basement floor or anything decently hard. It’ll round off fairly easily. The nail I found in my basement was pretty soft and rounded off the tip of it in like 10 seconds.
  15. I agree with the dremel tool needing to be stickied to every comp cleaning thread ever. Post the picture above to every comp cleaning thread in the past and future and just lock it up for further discussion. This is THE solution for a dirty comp. It is also an extremely satisfying way to clean the comp. it makes such light work of it I like cleaning my comps now.
  16. I bought one of these after I saw @B_Seehawer post it in an old topic on this same subject. I can vouch for this being the best easiest way to chisel out the comp without damaging anything or any solvents that could cause issues. I did what he recommended with a nail rounded off so it doesn’t have a sharp point too. Best thing ever
  17. The two Slide ride screws are 10/32 x ½ inch socket head cap That is the screw that mounts a slide ride to a mount or railway etc
  18. Cant recommend the L10 enough. I had Evo, SV Signature. This is the perfect mix.
  19. I had a viper on a 929 revolver. very light 120-125pf load. broke the glass in under 300 rounds warranty is good though...
  20. Should have scooped that dawson signature open gun that was in the classifieds here for a few weeks. That was a steal came with mags and a holster. Throw a steel grip on it and a mini dot of choice and its modernized up right along with current age tech.
