  1. i gotta call baloney here and disagree with everything in this post.
  2. You know the moderators zero your post count when you race to 50 then post in the classifieds right?
  3. That’s pretty neat. I figured maybe it’s the way the threads are cut but I didn’t know for sure and I’m no machinist, or aerospace engineer and didn’t know that was a real thing. In my head I’m thinking it’s gotta be possible and never thought about different applications like medical implants. I may have argued with you here and there on here but the honcho seems like a winner and I’m tempted to sell a few guns and consolidate down to one with multiple barrels for the few odd pro am and falling steel matches I shoot. I’m argumentative here and there but my monies still green
  4. can anyone comment on "Honcho Technology" and do you really get away with no loctite on any of the screw? I cant imagine a slide racker, sight mount, Breachface, or scope mount would stay on with no loctite and never loosen up? I like the idea of the honcho now that the race shop is implemented and you can build your own package. Id be a buyer for a open limited and limited minor combo but is it really possible to not have loctite anywhere? Not a deal breaker just curious if its true.
  5. I’m just messing with you. But my point is minor ammo doesn’t beat an open gun up like major does. Some would argue that is especially true in 9mm.
  6. I’d go honcho. Way more bang for your buck. Also I feel like since they are making all the parts in house they would pay more attention to detail and tolerances.
  7. You also shoot pansy 9minor through an open gun no wonder nothings broken yet.
  8. Like I said, coated Bullet’s don’t lead or carbon the comp noticeably more than anything else for me. Fmj exposes bases lead the comp way more than any coated I’ve ever shot.
  9. Ive never understood the claim that there isn't much of a difference of running coated vs jhp. if you shoot 20,000 rounds a year, using standard discounts (not counting promotional sales) shooting for instance acme bullets vs PD jhp would save you roughly $526 per year. I could think of more than a few things I could spend $520+ every year. OR I could shoot roughly 9000 more bullets every year for the same cost assuming I would shoot 20,000 rounds a year. So if you had a set amount you could spend on practice rounds, would you rather shoot 20,000 or 29000 rounds? Were only punching holes in paper inside 25 yards for the most part... and again im one of the ones claiming I have yet to experience leading.
  10. Sigs warranty has been awesome for me. I broke a romeo3 and admittedly it was my fault and I relayed that to sig. Got a replacement in one week anyway.
  11. I’ve never consistently run thumb rests but recently tried the go gun. I kinda liked it but it felt like my thumb was flagged too high kind of like you’re describing. I switched to the akai and night and day better feeling. I know that’s not what you’re asking for seeing how it’s not pointing down but it’s a very good feeling thumbrest for those who like go gun but want a little more.
  12. It hooks around the front of the trigger guard. It’s kind of a pain but file a little then put it back together and repeat. Once it’s the correct fit around the front of the trigger guard it will fit snug but release super smooth. Takes some trial and error.
  13. The locking blocks need a little filing to fit some metal grips. The trigger guards vary from grip to grip so you need to form the blocks to your specific grip sometimes. I’ve done it to two different blocks to fit my metal gripped guns.
  14. I’ve owned all the other options besides cheely e2. I agree the out law feels great in the hand. Not too much bite but still plenty to hang on to. If I were to start over I’d probably go cheely. The cheely e2 looks great and ergonomic. If I didn’t want all my guns to feel the same I’d be buying cheely e2 for future builds due to the fact that you can buy his frame and mate up perfectly and a magwell is included so the cost is the most efficient. That being said now that I have an outlaw, just to keep the feel the same across multiple different guns I’ll stick to the outlaw. E2 or outlaw are top choice imo for current available options. they’re all great really. Just feel preference differences.
  15. The weight alone didn’t bother me because I like heavy guns but it’s where the weight felt displaced above the gun and not in my hands that bothered me when running the 510. But I flip flop around so if my current dot dies I’d take reliability over weight displacement.
  16. Are you all using ease of ignition as your baseline to determine hardness? I remember reading the primer compound is the determining factor in ease of ignition vs actual primer cup hardness so if for instance you’re looking to prevent primer flow or primer piercing that might not go hand in hand.
  17. I’ve run many different coated Bullets at major. 115-125gr. Never had an issue but I’ve read about many on here from others who have.
  18. SS is kind of irrelevant and a dead division .....
  19. Same hole pattern. Different mounting tabs/locating pin things
  20. Or go steel and add the limcat brass magwell for even more weight. Akai stainless magwell I think it even heavier than the brass limcat FYI.
  21. although I’m a little partial to pt, I would buy this in a heartbeat. It’s almost too good to pass up. I’m all about a deal and this is definitely one of the best deals out there. I didn’t see the market for the honcho as it sat originally. But now that you can pick and choose what you want and don’t want its a winner I think. And I agree with previous posters, any custom gun had basically no return policy anyway so I dont see how that is a turn off. Im ready to sell my limited gun and buy a 9/40 combo. It still comes in less than an atlas titan. Same lead time ( if that’s realistic) probably better quality knowing pt’s history and what they put out.
  22. I believe he cuts them based on the dimensions you give of your guns frame.
  23. Which texture e2 did you go with?

I run a 10lb with 124gr. Felt best to me. Tried a 9 and liked it but not anymore than the 10 so I stuck with the heavier spring.
  25. You guys are having extraction issues on newly delivered guns and are opting to fix yourselves???
