  1. Seriously? You don't think the SF or S2 will show wear? I have 2 X5 Legions. Do they show wear? I hope so!
  2. Makes sense, I love my P229 Legion and P226 MK25, but aside from an occasional IDPA match, I would always go to my P320 X5 Legions!
  3. Yup, I put a narrow FO front sight on my P226 MK 25, but can't change the Legion sights. Way too big and "combat aimed", but classic!
  4. I was close to replacing the slide release on my P229 Legion, but I rarely carry it. I may use it in IDPA once or twice a year, but I'm loving the X5 Legion/Romeo 3XL combo in CO!
  5. I can only help with #3, as I have a 229 Legion (and 2 320X5 Legions). The stock slide release is far too close to the frame for competition use. You may replace both the slide release and mag release with regular parts.. [Edit] I also have a P226 MK 25. The mag release appears to be the same size on the P229 Legion, with the Legion having more aggressive checkering.
  6. I have 2, both over 10k rounds (one closer to 15k). Working great so far! Now the DPP, we won't even talk about that s**t.
  7. The old "What is the Best....." question rarely has a singular answer. Do some research here, there is a wealth of knowledge. And what is best for you may not be "best" for Joe Bob...

    X5 Legion accuracy

I use 125g plated Berry's, more so for the quicker sight return, but they are plenty accurate.
  9. My primer slide works easily, nothing needed here!
  10. Canned air and a dry paint brush just to tidy up a bit.
  11. Yes, I ordered the standard model and installed it without difficulty,
  12. After about 10,000 rounds of 9mm loaded, I installed the Level 10 spring and bushing. No really noticeable sag at that point, although the Dillon spring was "bent" in the middle and wouldn't roll flat on a smooth surface. The Level 10 website doesn't yet list compatibility with the 1100, but it's worked great in my initial testing. Fits perfectly and operates smoothly. The spring gauge is thicker and (of course) much longer. No tooling marks on the bushing, looks great. Operating the press feels smoother with a slightly easier return stroke. When you want/need to replace the original, I recommend this part. Ed
  13. I mounted mine a bit different, wonder if it makes a difference?
  14. Please put me down for 5,000. Thanks as always! Ed
  15. They run about $35 at most places. Let me know if you find them cheaper.
  16. The super will load 30-06 and the 1100, 308. 30-06 is a longer round. I’m not sure of the stroke lengths, coming from a sdb and 650xl, but I’m enjoying the 1100!
  17. Local shop sells them for $425. Might ask yours?
  18. Do you need my name and address? I guess I can easily provide it!

    Thanks again.

  19. I'm no longer a DPP fan. The battery contact issue is so prevalent. I nudge mine forward with a pencil eraser. I moved onto Romeo 3XL's on my 2 Legions. 100% better! Large, clear glass, bright dot (6 MOA beats the 2.5 DPP dot for shooting sports). No regrets!
