  1. Eaa (imho) isn't a stellar importer of guns. Maybe they want to keep prices high with low inventory? dunno. We're i looking today a PD prepped stock 1 would look pretty sweet.
  2. I just wish they still were importing the lim pro. That is a dang good gun. But so is the Shadow 2 (except the ones that crack !)
  3. LOL, probably is OK. Well, it was ok before you bragged about cheating, now it's not ok. (just kidding), i neither know nor care ! I ride the safety with my strong thumb and it ain't moving. Enjoy your "cheap" alternative to a unica flat safety.
  4. Just remember to put a thumb over the hole in the mag release when you pull the trigger bar lifter out. the little thing that flies out is hard to find!
  5. As @MemphisMechanic said, it reduces sear spring force slightly , but it also keeps the spring in place during assembly. It's just one little thing that helps out. Almost no impact alone, but add up all of them and the gun gets pretty nice.
  6. You seem to have the same issue that I have. Top 1/3 of standings (and occasional stage wins) then a stage where a MIKE or NS/MIKE pair ruins things. I don't have any words of wisdom, just pointing out that eliminating misses and no-shoots will make the most improvements in MY performance and apparently in yours too. I play the "math game" with my scores to see where I would have placed. Trade your Mikes for Charlies and add a 1/2 second for each and see where you would have placed. It shows that taking a hair longer to aim or steady the gun and get the hits is nearly always worth it. Obviously, getting the hits and not taking the time is better !! lol. Good luck in getting your M !
  7. As I understand it IPSC in Europe allows all Unica parts. but obviously, Troy has the last word and is not doubt more reliable that my understanding!!
  8. I put the henning front and rear sights on mine. They are dead nuts zero and robust as can be. Seriously consider them.
  9. Open minor (no comp) is so much easier on RO's ears... everyone should be so considerate! Lol.
  10. I bought one when they first came out. 26k this year, 13k last year. It meters TG very well. It SUX measuring Clays. i love clays, but have gone back to TG for the consistency. Cleaned it recently and it still looks good internally.
  11. Unica is tanfoglio http://www.tanfoglio.it/shop/tanfoglio-unica/?sl=EN
  12. I believe the unica parts can be ordered "a la cart" on tsnfos in Europe. maybe one of our members from there can confirm?
  13. I am over 25k shooting 9mm minor and it looks very similar to your gun. If the barrel was fit well, they seem to go a VERY high round count. So no need to be concerned.
  14. I'd estimate you lost close to 1 1/2 oz. The aluminum dovetail mount is 0.7 and it looks like about that much slide was removed. But you weighing it beats guessing!
  15. There won't be any side light in the notch when aligned. you may like that situation, if so.... it would be good for you.
  16. .140 to .160 is the range most get. I prefer a thin 0.090 wide. 140 is the rear all the way down. Just for reference.
  17. You can gain the same easy assembly with a CGW "canik" trigger pin. It's is a slip fit and held in place with a groove that the spring goes into. It's MUCH less expensive than changing the trigger!
  18. On gunbroker, you can find used tanfos. Get one for 400-ish and polish the innerds follow @MemphisMechanic 4 part video guide. then change to every patriot defense spring . Start with 15.5 hammer spring and creep down as you repeat polishing and gain comfort with your ammo. you can be gunning it hard for under 500 that way. Like cz, the throat of the barrel probably will need cutting. Patriot does that quick and cheap. If you want a super great trigger, add titan hammer, bolo disconnector, 1 piece sear and PD firing pin. But that will add 200ish to the total. A pair of PD palm swell grips, henning or LOK g10 will really help too.
  19. I'm a pack rat... keep them if you can. Make your kids clean out the crap after you die !
  20. I'm impressed! You guys with mills and skills ! Joe at Patriot Defense will be working on my slide shortly (knock wood). I can't wait to see how low he gets the dot.
  21. Look up Memphismechanic's 4 part videos on what and how to polish. Some won't appy to SA only, but most will. You shouldn't change springs as there won't be much change in SA and you need more whack to light off the harder primers. Plan on repeating the polishing a couple / few times. It always seems parts are missed the first go round. It will make the trigger very nice.
  22. The "pad" below the hook is where i would have removed material. I would also polish the flat surfaces so it can pivot easier. The roll pin could also be hampering rotation from dirt, roughness, etc. Polish the hole and the middle of the pin where it pivots. Check it for straightness too. You did check fired brass falls out? (wasn't paying attention ). If everything is clean, fired brass falls out and it holds tight (as in the vid), i would expand the search. What recoil spring? Is it "normal " or "longslide"? At 8# the LS spring will coil bind, cause short stroking and issues. In my evaluations, the LS and normal are NOT interchangeable (some say LS is 2# heavier and interchangeable-- i disagree. Ymmv). How are your mags? All presenting rounds at the same height and angle? Is the ejector on the sear cage in good shape? Not bent, broke or shortened? Are your rounds all well behaved ? Same PF, same oal, pass guage test etc? Your problem is tough to diagnose long distance, so some of this is just random possibilities. Maybe helpful....maybe will spur thought... maybe just noise! Anyway, good luck.
  23. How firmly held is the brass by the extractor? The vid is my CO top. test yours, see how it holds brass. Also, old brass can have chewed up rims or other problems. be sure to inspect the match brass And, the chamber can be fouled or rough. Clean it and (if rough) spin a tight patch with "Blue Magic " in the chamber to VERY VERY LIGHTLY smooth rough edges. But, proceed at your own peril. If empty cases fall out... the chamber isn't your issue and should be left the heck alone.
  24. Interestingly, a comment by a well known shooter was (essentially); "You can judge how bad a person's trigger control is by how nice their trigger is" He actually used some phrases that wouldn't make the mods happy, but that is approximately the sentiment. I have been swapping in a stronger than factory hammer spring over winter to work on da trigger control. wolff makes them up to ... i think, 22#. It helps, but that's a different story.
