    Glock Frame work

I need to get the trigger guard undercut on my gen 4 Glock 19 so I can get a comfortable grip. Any suggestions of someone that does good work at a fair price.
  2. I just did it, one 550 is set up for 9mm and the other for .45, I love it.
  3. More and more people will not accept responsibility for their own actions. If you screw up, own it no one is perfect and if someone around you screws up and owns it try not to be an ass. Once again no one is perfect.
  4. Non CFC brake parts cleaner and 5 drops of oil is all you need to keep a Glock running.
  5. Here is my completely non scientific review of the TTI Grand Master 3.25lb connector kit. The kit comes with the connector, 2 trigger return springs, 2 striker springs, a plunger spring and a stainless rear trigger housing spring. I installed the kit in my Gen 4 Glock 17. The only previous mods have bee the .25 cent trigger job and Dawson sights. The bad: the Stainless pin is too short if you are using the grip inserts, and the plunger spring does not stick in the plunger like the factory Glock Part. I contact TTI and was told the stainless pin is really there for stipple jobs to keep the pin from melting in place and it will not effect the function of the kit and the spring is smaller in diameter to allow for reduced power. The person I spoke to at TTI was very helpful and knowledgeable. The good, with the kit installed minus the plunger spring. This is feel only as I did not test it with a gage. The trigger is much better in every way. The reset is shorter, the pull is much better and not mushy. It also feels like there is less pre travel. I was very disappointed with the Gen 4 trigger and it is now pleasant to shoot. Fired about 150 rounds no issues, I am using CCI primers and there were no light strikes. Now the part I can't explain, this pistol has always thrown brass all over, now it does not. I would definitely buy this again.
  6. Just remember to firmly press against the slide or it may leave a mark.
  7. You went to the range no issues, possibly under stress at a match you are doing something different. Try having a friend watch/video you shoot they may see what is going on. shoot a drill or set up a stage that puts some pressure on you. Just a thought.
  8. Received my Glock 43 TTI connector yesterday and installed it last night. The connector reducer the trigger pull and it feels the same as stock just reduced. I also put on one +2 base pad, on the first loading 8 rounds were very tight. I took out 4 rounds and tapped the base pad a few times. That seemed to seat the spring better. It now holds the 8 rounds fine. Hopefully will be range testing both today.
  9. On a dark 2 lane road it is almost as bad as running your high beams all the time.

    Magwell repair

This gun is new to me and was reported to have had a rough life. I did not notice any cracking but I really was not looking at the mag well. I was checking everything out as the last owner reported an accidental discharge they felt was related to the firearm. Mechanically it is good. I am a Glock Armorer. Amazingly enough they do not cover how to glue a Glock in the class. I do not want to send it in to Glock and end up with a Gen III lower.

    Magwell repair

I detail stripped and cleaned a stock Gen 1, 17 after I got it all back together I had a small piece of plastic sitting on the bench. It turned out to be off of the front corner of the magwell, about the size of a dime cut in half. If you put it back on it fits without even a line. My question is what is the best glue/epoxy to use to repair this ?
  13. Thank you for the advise, I will hit a local steel match this Saturday. Then the next USPSA to get a feel for things and go from there.
  14. I am going to start shooting some local steel and USPSA, I have been reading everything I can. There is so much information out there, I would like some advise. I carry a gen 3 Glock 17 at work it has Dawson competition rear and a Dawson front night site. My holster is a Blade Tech Kydex and Blade Tech dual pouches all with tek lok. I will be shooting production and I would like to buy quality gear one time. Here are my questions 1. I will be buying a new Glock for this and can't decide on another 17 or a 34. Thinking Dawson completion rear and FO front on whichever I choose suggestions on FA and sights would be helpful. (not opposed to both if there is a reason too) 2. What would be the best one time belt, holster, pouch purchase. I would like quality gear that will work. 3. Who is a good vendor to purchase my equipment from. 4. A good range bag that works. 5. Anything I am missing. I have been reading threads for awhile and I know this is all covered in different threads just not really at the same time. Thank you for your time and efforts.
  15. I have seen this exact case in .40, blew the mag and extractor out of the pistol, we were using commercially reloaded ammo. It was an older pistol. I believe Glock has redesigned the chamber for the newer pistols. I don't know if the issue is the same in .45. I make it a point to reload Glocked brass no more than 2 times for a factory pistol just to be safe.
