  1. I went with uBlock Origin. What separates them from uBlock and others is that they are not in-cahoots with Advertisers. Others may selectively block some ads and allow others. There are also privacy concerns to consider. Educate yourself so you can make an informed decision. Good luck. https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock
  2. Dropping loaded mags was an eye opener for me. We get USPSA guys shoot IDPA matches on a regular basis. We just tell the newbies to ignore what they do to avoid confusion. USPSA guys get an FTDR penalty(20 seconds) for each stage so they don't skew the scoring results. Everyone has a good time in the end.
  3. I've been shooting IDPA casually for the last two years then I shot my second USPSA-like match on Sunday and really enjoyed it. So much so that I marked my calendar for the next few matches within driving distance and signed up for a USPSA membership. To top it off during Sunday's match, I got a plethora of free advice from Rob Leatham who SO'd my squad. That was a treat. I still plan to go to IDPA matches, but I have a feeling that will likely happen if Steel or USPSA matches aren't on the same day. Similar to rowdyb's statement, I plan to stick with one gun platform for all matches.
  4. I'm a lefty and haven't had that issue with any of my CZs, including SP-01 tactical. I don't flag my thumb up and close to the slide. Mine sits on top of my support hand thumb.
  5. I draw with my eyes closed. When fully extended, open my eyes and evaluate sight alignment. Make any sight alignment adjustments while extended, ingrain that in my head and "feel" what proper alignment is. Then rinse and repeat. Once I am consistent with my draw and "acceptable" sight picture, I incorporate target transitions. I have multiple scaled down IDPA targets on my wall and use them for dry fire practice. I don't practice more than 30 minutes a day and still feel like I'm making great progress. With all that said...There is a YouTube video where Rob Leatham talks about aiming being useless. It's all about trigger pull. Wise words from TGO. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
  6. Just bought a Viper PST and I find the eye relief works really well for me while training for 2 gun matches. 0.5" doesn't seem like a lot but that extra half inch on the Viper works for me. Also been able to use it at 1x both eyes open with good success. 4x is nice and I've had to reach out to 200yds a few times, it was a real challenge when you are out of breath.
  7. Like dogtired suggested, call CGW. I have an SP01 on order from them and we discussed making sure it is IDPA and USPSA production legal. They will set you up right. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  8. I've purchased various sights from the following for CZs. I suggest not relying solely on their websites but to call to get more details. There is only so much they can put on a page without overwhelming someone.Dawson Precision CZCUSTOMS Cajun Gunworks Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. I was envious of Raven's shiny new CZ so I ordered myself an SP-01. I shot my RAMI a few matches ago and held my own overall. A fellow shooter was curious about the RAMI. I let him shoot it and now he is on the waiting list for one. This is how CZs spread.
  10. Your post stuck in my head. During last week's classifier, my only miss was on stage 2 and SSP Expert eluded me by 0.11 seconds. This after not picking up a pistol for two weeks. Most notable change in my practice regiment was to lock my wrists resulting in faster and more accurate follow-up shots.
  11. I lay a small towel down, spread the loaded rounds across half, fold over and rub/roll for a few passes. It is gets most of the lube off.
  12. I'd say 40k is high enough! I'm at 15k-17k with my P-09; the trigger return spring has been the only part that broke. Happened on my P-07 also.
  13. It is probably because we were watching you and you didn't want to disappoint. I'm lucky enough to be with-in driving distance of a monthly classifier match. I'm a solid SS and feel like I hit a wall. Watching your video has given me some motivation. Thanks for sharing.
  14. That would be nice! I don't own a wheel gun but there are perks. For me, I don't have to scramble all over the stage to pick up their brass. They are in a nice pile next to their speed loaders. Plus it is nice to hear the shots of a man's caliber. Some of these guys load them hot. You know who they are because they are the ones trying to shake the sting out of their strong hand as they walk away.Love it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. Eat well, sleep well and hydrate well starting at least two days out, preferably three days out. I have been able perform well and get my first stage jitters quickly under control by following those guidelines.
  16. I implemented a similar concept, except I cut a hole in the bill to drop the bottom of the frame(not the mount) through the bill. Used industrial velcro to keep the camera in place. I placed it as far back as possible without the bill being viewable in the frame. I barely notice the camera is there.
  17. Guys at my local club are on a wheel gun fix. Over the past few months, I've seen up to 8 revolvers at our weekend IDPA matches.
  18. Going off of memory: 20lbs for both hammer and recoil springs. I settled on a 15lb hammer and 18lb recoil spring in mine. I experienced light strikes using a much lighter hammer spring and hand loads with CCI primers. A lighter recoil spring threw my brass much further than I cared for. Full disclosure: CGW's extended FP also installed.
  19. It's on an iPhone 6, and this is pretty much the case every time I'm looking for a part. Again, I've never been on the site on my desktop, so that might be my issue. I will see if changes can be made if person looking from phone. thanks for the info. Stuart, I can confirm it only displays one item on an Android and also on a Mac using a Chrome browser. Here are the steps I used to duplicate the behavior. Click "CZ Parts (ALL)" Click "Magazine ALL" If I continue and click either "CZ Pistol Magazines", "CZ Rifle Magazines" or "Mec Gar Magazines" then I see lots of items. 20. Just a follow up to my post. Wore my Pro 300 during a few IDPA matches and glad I bought them. They are somewhat tight but after some adjustments they fit well. The sound compression is great for outdoor pistol matches but I would recommend doubling up for rifle calibers or indoor shooting. I tried to shoot an AR with them but the profile did get in the way. It is easy to leave them turned on. I did for a few days. Good thing I bought extra batteries but didn't need to replacement them. My only gripe is I wish they were foldable.
  21. I actually practice with my RAMI sometimes and it makes my full size CZ feel like a 22LR. I totally agree on the accuracy. It is almost as accurate as my CZ compacts.Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  22. I'd like to add another metric, blood pressure. Unfortunately, that isn't practical. I have a HRM chest strap I use when I workout and will give this a try. Thanks for the idea.
  23. I have a 550 and my shooting has increased to 1k rnds/month. I can probably work the press up to 300rnds/hr but that is pushing it without a case feeder. The manual indexing on it is nice for a novice loader(like myself), but once you dial your load in, a 650 or LnL is probably the way to go for 1k+ rnds/month. I don't regret the 550 and probably will reward myself with a 650 or at least a case feeder once I move up in classification. I only shoot pistol.
  24. Ordered a pair of Pro Ears Pro 300 last night, I had been using Cadwell's and ear plugs. It was a toss up between MSA Supreme Basic and Pro Ears Pro 300. I believe both have low profiles good enough for rifle use.
