  1. If I understand the question then get a dedicated flaring die such as the Lyman M die or something similar.
  2. Same here. They suggested I replace both of the arms thinking that if one had cracked the other may not be far behinc.
  3. Same problem but with a 650. Up and running in about a week. Dillon.
  4. I'm curious to see how that extra station works out with an aluminum head. On the CNC steel tool head there is not a lot of material left on the primer actuating lever side of the head.

  6. Here is a link to a post which contains some load data for WST and 231. I believe it (the load data) is at least somewhat dated. Be careful. https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/277312-wst-and-9mm/?tab=comments#comment-3089819
  7. Yeah that is higher than I would have expected. I don't have any current load data. I have a spreadsheet from about 8 years ago that shows I got around 1050 at 4.7 with a 124 FMJ. Coated would have been a little faster most likely but not 150 fps.
  8. I've never heard of anyone breaking a follower. Not saying it can't happen. Base pads? Sure.
  9. Dillon makes a "Universal Powder Activator". I do not know the part number. Give 'em a call; they will know what you are talking about. I use it on my 1100. It is not intended to bell/flare the case mouth; only to activate the powder measure. The assumption is that the case has been flared prior to that point.
  10. Many feel that the coke bottle effect is helpful in preventing bullet setback. Makes sense to me.
  11. I'm not going to try to diagnose your problem but rather give some feedback on the Dillon vs Lee that you are more familiar with. Have a little faith. Once you get your Dillon dialed in you will likely come to realize it is a distinct step up from the Lee turret. I started with a Lee turret and still have it mounted on my bench. It is a great value for the money. It is great for load development and small batch jobs. It certainly has its place. However it pales in comparison to any of the Dillon machines. If I said it was a toy in comparison that would probably be an exaggeration (and piss some people off, lol) but after you get used to the Dillon that thought might enter the back of your mind.

    Grayguns p320 slides

Do you know what the differences are between the Lockwood slide and the one in the OP?
  13. One of the reasons I don't shoot a PPQ anymore.

    X5 Legion accuracy

Stock for many thousands of rounds. Recently switched to Armory Craft. The barrels looked like the picture long before I started using the AC version.

    X5 Legion accuracy

I have two X5's and they both look exactly like that. Running uncaptured guide rods. One Springer steel. One Springer tungsten. Using 13 pound springs.
  16. One of the things that turned me off about the triggers with the pre-travel screw was that the screw had to be backed off in order to remove the trigger from the FCU. I've got one of the GG triggers with the over-travel screw and the hex head stripped almost immediately. Fortunately that doesn't affect disassembly.
  17. That seems a bit much I've loaded a small amount of #7. It's been awhile but my hazy recollection is that it metered fairly well. That was using the Dillon powder measure. No experience with the Lee auto drum.
  18. I think that would be excellent with a single head stamp let alone with mixed pickup brass.
  19. I think most 9/40 reloaders would be happy with +/- 0.005. If I understand your data you are talking about a max spread of 0.005 which is twice as tight. I may get close to that (maybe) on the majority of my rounds but I can't meet that criteria consistently 100%.

    New gun rules.

That could be. However the way it reads to my mind does not make that obvious. The way it was written seems to focus initially completely on ESP, with some clarity, and then there is this "oh, and as far as SSP is concerned..." afterthought that raises additional questions. I wonder if anybody at IDPA HQ ever proofreads these releases.
