  1. Gotcha. I got to the point where it was more of a chore than a joy. I'm glad I automated but it does add another layer of complexity and is not without its frustrations for sure.
  2. I had the same problem but different response from Dillon. Initially they sent me a new stop switch which didn't fix the problem. Called them back and they sent the complete motor and circuit board assembly; never asked me to send it back. Interesting how they seem to respond differently to different customers with what appears to be the same problem. Back on topic: I picked up the DAA case feeder plate and it is working great. Using it for 9mm only. Eliminated this nuisance jam I was having when the case gets stuck against that movable metal tab.
  3. If you were happy with the 650 then I'm pretty sure you will be happy with the 1100. And at 50k/year now you have an opportunity to automate. I know you said you didn't see that happening but for me 50k/year is way past the point where I decided to automate.
  4. and it is a great time to do some cleaning/lubing/maintenance on the top end while it is off...

    Feed ramp on Sig m11-a1

I'd be thinking about trying really hard to get a new barrel from Sig. If that doesn't work I'd just buy a new barrel; probably from Sig. It would be a straight drop in.
  6. There are more of those every day. As far as I am concerned if a website won't take a credit card it's 99% likely a scam.
  7. I saw that Armanov is producing a 1050/1100 tool head that takes LnL bushings. Don't know if they have anything for 550/650/etc... That may save you buying another press.
  8. If you should decide that your gauge checker is flagging perfectly usable rounds it is still possible that it can be a helpful tool. You can develop a sense for how proud a round can be in your gauge and yet still be perfectly usable in your particular gun. I put those in a practice bin but I can't recall the last time I put anything there that was a problem during practice. Match loads take a little more consideration...
  9. Try blackening several cases with black magic marker. Insert in case gauge and rotate. See where the interference is. Your gauge may not have enough throat/leade for 147s at your chosen OAL. Try loading a couple a bit shorter to see what happens. Make sure your gauge is clean. In the end the plunk test is the final decision maker although one of the 100 round checkers is very handy for batch checking a lot at time. Edit to add: Which gauge are you using? Can you beg/borrow/steal a different gauge? Also: What OAL are you loading at?
  10. In a nutshell if it makes weight, fits the box, has an IDPA legal mag release it is legal for IDPA ESP. https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/297530-new-gun-rules/ https://www.idpa.com/message-from-racl-rick-lund/
  11. I turned mine down as you describe so it's only function is to hold down.
  12. And it is a whole lot easier to adjust your flare with a stand alone die compared to futzing around with adjusting the powder dropper die.
  13. Gotcha, lol. I've tried both the MBF powder funnel in the powder measure and using it as a stand alone expander and also the previously indicated stand alone expander dies. I think the stand alone expander dies do a better job. I just started using it but I'm particularly liking the Redding die so far.
  14. Not sure what you are referring to. There is no station between the priming station and the powder drop. Perhaps you are thinking of the aftermarket tool heads on which the primer station is threaded for a die? If that is the case then I have used both the Lyman M die and the Redding Premium expander die there. They work as you would expect although the primer slide actuator mounting bracket needed a little clearance work on my machine.
  15. Single, separated, divorced... or will be shortly...
  16. No. I've got one set up exactly as you describe except just the regular Lee sizer. It seems to me the only rationale for that gadget is for those with a single tool head who want to do two pass reloading. In that case it is probably a clever solution assuming it really works.
  17. What was the particular XDM/10mm malfunction?
  18. Thanks guys. That's what I've been doing. Didn't want to miss out if there was a clever way to do it other than that. I need to get a better fitting cover for the optic.
  19. Not as quick and easy compared to iron sights where I just strip it down and toss the whole shebang into a bucket of solvent. Any tips or tricks? I've tried masking off the red dot but that hasn't worked all that great.
