  1. Just a warning, The 140mm magazines will most likely not fit in the IPSC standard box. Are you shooting Limited or Standard? Just to clarify.
  2. Atlanta arms, Georgia arms, Two brothers armory to name a few from the SE. I'm sure that others will chime in on more.
  3. I am going to be leaving Sunny South Florida for this. Not excited.
  4. That's why I said stuck there, I had no choice in the matter. I've been there before many years ago and never wanted to go back. Such is life.
  5. For basepads you can't go wrong with Dawson, TTI, Grams. Guts are the Grams, TTI, bolen. Pick and choose what you like, they are all pretty much standard.
  6. I am stuck going to Chicago from Jan the 11th until Feb the 7th for school. I'll be occupied at Jackson Park Hospital from 8-4 Mon-Fri. What do I need to do, see, eat, experience, shoot (if there are any matches in the frigid cold) that can be done in my free time? I defer to the BEnos users for advice to make my time spent there memorable.
  7. I have had no problems assembling my own mags but I have also used tuned mags with good result. Honestly The newer STI mags are much better than the older ones so you are less likely to experience any problems. Buying the parts alone you are looking around $100 per mag. Buying Tuned mags from any of the major players and you are looking at around $150. The choice is up to you if you need that extra touch on the lips and bodies.
  8. Interested to see if anyone has any experience with these as well.
  9. Not down here in South Florida though.
  10. Paracord on the handles works nicely, especially the fancy colored ones.
  11. Appendix E3 "Foremost limit of gun, Holster, and all equipment behind the hip bone." Doesn't specify if used or not. And as for the mags in the pocket, I have nothing in them other than the magazine/s.
  12. No it won't fit, at least not the 140mm ones. The +3/4 base pads you are thinking about are only for Glocks and they were made to fit. And you are correct. The apex trigger will put you out of production.
  13. If you asking about the #1 mag pouch, yes it is behind my left hip bone. If you are talking about the 2 starter mag pouches in the right side... That is the Barney mag and starter magazine replacement magazines. Those 2 positions are empty after the LAMR. I load the Barney mag from position 1, then the starter full mag from postion 2. Holster the gun, then replace position 1 & 2 with those 2 full mags from the right side. This gives me one last opportunity to get 2 "simulated" reloads from their proper position before starting the course of Fire. I may be wrong one this but I am pretty sure that unless the 2 starter pouches are behind the hip bone then you would be placed in open. Even if the pouches stay empty, just like having a magnet on your belt. At least that is how I understand the rules.
  14. If you ever come out sometime you might see some familiar faces. We still have some of the founding members of the SFPC active quite frequently. Hmm, so that's where those fancy benches came from.
  15. Congratulations, Balancing life and going back to school can be difficult but it should pay off in the end. Hang in there buddy, only a few more semesters to go.
  16. Welcome from Ft Lauderdale. Yes, we have year round shooting until the rain comes and swamps everything. If you decide to pursue action pistol we have a great group of people over at markham park. I hope you get as much as I have out of the forums.
  17. Stock barrel for me. They are accurate enough for our games and with all of the cheap coatings for bullets the saving aren't really there to run lead.
  18. You mean compete in a match or two right? Either way, welcome aboard, crack a beer and stay a while.
  19. 6 CRspeeds and a barney from the pocket, major.
  20. Like Callister said check out binary engineering. Pretty sure this is what you saw before.
  21. Had Dawsons on the Glock and just went with them on the 2011 as well.
