  1. Depends on the gun really. Every few thousand rounds or if the gun starts acting up. Every now and then I'll go through the safe and clean evening in there.

  4. But the 15 found mags and added extensions. Run your 23 for a few months and see if you like the sport. Shoot and borrow as many different guns you can during that time. You might realize that blocks aren't the best for you.
  5. About tree fiddy. But seriously it might sit for a bit at $2000 move fairly quick at $1900.
  6. Super dude pretty much hit it on the head. That's why we always start low and work up with a chrono.
  7. Some of my best and worst memories have occurred after a match at the bar with some friends.
  8. Just got the email saying I'm in and registered for limited nationals. Excited for my first one.
  9. It would be ugly but you could cut the lip off and just glue something to clear the magwell.
  10. What bullet weight are you running? Some use different spring weights for different projectiles at the same PF. If it were me I would use a standard length variable spring, most likely around the 12.5 lb weight.
  11. +1 on 19/2011 I use support hand to disengage the slide lock. Tupperware I can reach with my strong thumb.
  12. In the summer months in Fl I try to at least finish a bottle per stage. Dehydration is a killer on your scores. If you are sweating a lot then add any sports drink to get your electrolytes back. Food is small and often, dried fruit, nuts, protein bars all are good options. Remember by the time you feel that you are thirsty you are already dehydrated.
  13. Most of the RM that I have ROed under would rather have you stop the shooter and restart them than give the procedural. For the first infraction. If the shooter blatantly creeps more often than not then issue the procedurals.
  14. bought an upper from them as well. first time out, couldn't get it to cycle at all. brought it home, barrel nut came off with minimal force by hand. tightened it up hand have 0 problems since. Pushed the pins on mine at the range and started blasting, haven't have a problem yet in quite a few matches. It's good stuff and for the price it was hard to beat.
  15. You could always give Gans a call since you already have all of the parts.
  16. DSG by Seekins are pretty good for the price. Me and a few others I know pick them up for their first batch.
  17. Front: Prod, SS. Back: Lim, L-10, 3 gun (I use a belly band for shotgun so I can grab whatever gun I feel like training with for USPSA)
  18. I had the same thing happen on an eagle about a month back. Called STI and I had a replacement at my door in 3 days. They also offered to fit it if I would have sent it in.
  19. Yea, it's Wyoming Antelope Gun Club. Great group of guys up there. You won't go wrong.
  20. The WAC over in clear water might be your best bet. The hold quite a few matches and the best part. The have a clubhouse complete with beer for afterwards!
  21. Both have pros and cons. Both have good and bad reviews. Biggest question is who is closer to you? If you ever have any problems how much of a hassle would it be to get the gun to them so they can fix it.
  22. You also have to remember that IPSC Standard has a box the gun has to fit in. Why would the top shooters play with a platform that would be illegal at those matches? Yes and No, until a few years ago Limited still had production run requirements so experimenting with things like this would put you in Open so the experimentation period for iron sight guns is kind of starting over again where it stopped when red dots changed the game.
  23. Switched from a production Glock to a factory Eagle. Still end up the same percentage wise at matches. Now the biggest eye opener was when some one let me run a sweet Infinity at a match. Big difference in between a custom and factory 2011. And yes I used to be in the I can do it with my cheap stock gun group.
  24. The stingray is a nice one but it is held on to the belt with a flimsy rod thingy since it is a 2" wide belt. The DD/OS one seems big but its just the plastic in the in the D/OS making it big. That SR loop I linked should fit tight on your belt and has extra material behind the belt so the "load bearing" is distributed more so. At least that is in my personal experience.
