  1. I love these mag pouches. Very versatile with the adjustments and hold mags secure in a very small space. Althought I have gone DAA for all mys USPSA gear, I still use these pouches for 3gun. The G17 pouch will fit mags from 45, 40 and 9mm for all my M&P needs.
  2. Another Buckeye, Benos is being over taken. Welcome from the North. Now get out there and shoot your antique technology and have some fun.
  3. Welcome from the North part of the state.
  4. Definately load 2 is the way to go. I started with california comp 6 shell holders, and with no practice I was quicker with my load 2 chest harness than I ever was with grabbing 3 from the california comp shell holders and loading one at a time.
  5. Yep those mag holders need some better engineering. I think the concept was they would work for righties or lefties, but fail for both since the rear mag is angled akward. On the cheap, the safariland slim line of mag holders work well. You can get a double or triple for less then 20 bucks. I like them since they fit a variety of mags for 9 and 40 from glock, XD, M&P, Sig, etc. Just get a a G17 mag pouch and it will fit multiple 9 & 40 double stack magazines. Safariland also makes them for 19111 magazines. You can get several mags in a small space on your belt.
  6. 44mag.com, usually has the best prices on magazines. I have ordered many from them and have never had an issue.
  7. I just finished the first match of the year at FWRR. A little snow, a little ice, lots of mud, good squad mates, great stages. What a way to start the 2015 shooting season. I had to knock off a lot of rust and deal with some gun issues I have never experienced before, but had an excellent time. This is my second time at FWRR and both times I have left satisfied. The matches run on time, they have fun, challenging stages and everyone I have shot with is friendly and has pulled their own weight. There is no screwing around and the matche gets done at a reasonable time. If you within 2hrs of the club I highly recommend their monthly matches. You wont be sorry you made the trip.
  8. There may be an issue with glocks mags if the pouches were specifically made for M&P mags. The glock mags are slightly larger and may not fit. I use plenty of glock mag carriers for M&P mags (I can crank em down a little), but I have never tried the opposite. The nice thing about slip fit kydex or plastic mag carriers is they can be heated and stretched a little. I have put M&P 45 mags in G17 mag pouches with just a little bit of help from a heat gun. (G17 mags are now loose in tne pouch)
  9. Trimming before resizing is doable. Since you have brass that is yours, it should be predictable and repeatable. You may run into problems if all of the brass was not shot throught the same chamber. If everything was run throught the same chamber then you should be good. These reloads may not produce "match" ammo but should be good for plinking and practice.
  10. This is easy, you screwed up accept the responsibility. Simple, you stop shooting, affix your hearing protection and continue or take the big zero. Be responsible for yourself. If the RO calls it, your fault, you are stupid enough to forget your equipment, you get what you earned. Whether you finished the course or chose to stop to prevent hearing loss. You are responsible for yourself. I would of thought common sense would rain supreme. Do not let the rule book make up for your own stupidity. Does the RO need to wipe your butt for you too. #life is hard
  11. I am glad to read that common sense rains supreme. Loaded gun stays in holster and someone fixes the targets while the shooter just stands there. Those nancy's that demand an unload and show clear or put their hand up should get a clue. If the shooter is too stupid to perform this menial task (stand still for a minute) then they should not own a gun. The first time I was told to put my hands up and wait in the shooting box, I asked the RO if he thought I was stupid. He looked puzzled. I simply informed him that I was capable of not shooting someone I was looking at directly. Simple common sense. Hands up, hands up, WTF do you think you are accomplishing.
  12. I have attended many "tactical" handgun classes and not once was I ever instructed to reholster without looking the gun into the holster. These were well respected instructors that most have heard of. If you are ever told not to look while reholstering, run, run away quickly and demand your money back.
  13. As I understand it, there were minor differences between the two guns. With the holster being universal retention, I dont see why it wouldnt work for either one.
  14. Under armor makes plenty of shirts that are plain and are much cheaper and more durable than techwear. Their coolgear is great for shooting in the summer. But you are out of luck if you want a jersey with name, etc. on it
  15. I dont agree with the crowd. You earn a patina like that on a gun. You don't manufacture it. This is like the tactical timmies who drag their AR's down the driveway for the "been there, done that" look. Next time, earn it, but its your gun, do what you want.
  16. Roy and Geoff, thanks for all the hard work. I cant wait, I think I am more excited for this match than I am for the pro/am.
  17. Were the mild steel plates flat? How were they set? If they were concave or dimpled you should not have been shooting at them. Being flat and the angle at which they are set are the key to steel targets. It doesnt matter if it is mild steel or hardened. A flat plate properly angled will not kick back a slug. Well I have a nice scar the shape of a C just below my sternum for a mild steel plate that kicked back a .40 slug. I will spend my money with MGM. Free shipping, no sales tax and a 15% discount. That slug made me realize it wasn't worth scrimping on targets.
  18. You will find that coated bullets chrono faster than plated and much faster than jacketed. That is just one of The great things about coated. They shoot softer since it takes less powder to make PF, they are cheaper, IMO they are more accurate. What is not to like. I do agree that there is a little more difficulty in loading coated, but it's only a little more bell.
  19. For DAA it is simple. Measure your waist and use that size. No pants or belt sizes. They are wrong. Actual waist size works out perfectly even though you may be surprised at what you actually measure. I was 4" over my normal pant/belt size.
  20. For the FSS, just mess with candy cane. No need to mess with a set screw.
  21. Awfaxis, what are you talking about? The parts you mention should never be in contact with each other. What am I missing?
  22. Straight from the Netherlands. Over Christmas they had deals on what I wanted that the other places couldnt beat. No matter where you order from, I think you will be happy with their stuff.
  23. For some good matches head south to Livingston gun club and Wayne County Raccoon Hunters for USPSA. Every match I attend at these two venues have been excellent. Livingston also does excellent 3gun matches but their match director is giving it up to shoot on the pro tour if my sources are correct. I am patiently waiting on the status of 3gun at Livingston this season.
  24. A morning/afternoon session at each club might work pretty well. Setup 6 stages at each club. Over 3 days it would be nice to shoot a morning/afternoon/morning session. Spread it out like some of the big 3gun matches.
  25. That's 2 of us. Please explain 43 and what is the most important part. I dont think I can sleep until I figure out this mystery.
