  1. Do both guns run the same barrel?
  2. Changing your focus from front sight focus to target focus is one of the bigger challenges. Dry fire, dry fire, and then dry fire some more. I am old, slow, and horrible about practice. It has taken me about 18 months to finally begin to crack the code of the dot. Had I spent time with practice it would not have taken nearly as long.
  3. x2 on Steel Challenge. Best transition practice you can get.
  4. Looks interesting. Nearly double the weight of an RTS2.
  5. I can see how IDPA would interfere mentally with your USPSA game. Steel on the other hand I find to be excellent practice for transitions and accuracy. There is no C-zone in steel. No other match will give you a chance to practice 30 +/- surrender draws on the clock.
  6. Do not look through the lens for the dot. Stay target focused and the dot will appear on the target.
  7. I ran TTI +6 base pads in Limited minor for 18 months. Not one single issue. Gen-4 G34.
  8. What are you using to measure? Digital calipers have a tolerance of +/-.001. Must use a micrometer for accuracy.
  9. Started with a Cheely and ran it for about a year. In close it was fine but out past 25 yards I was having to index the dot to the right. Just switched to the Everglades and no more issues. Spot on at all distances. Could just be a mental thing but I will be sticking with the Everglades.
  10. What, no no-shoots between the targets?
  11. Anything within 5 yards you should be able to point shoot regardless of the gun type or class. This is one of those cases where all that dry fire pays off.
  12. Had a stage where I thought the RO might need to take off his shoes in order to keep count. Standing outside the shooting box. On the start sign step into the box. Yeah, kind of forgot the step into the box part.
  13. Most just mount it on the right side.
  14. In the first position draw to the steel and leave on the paper. Shoot on the move whenever possible. Track your sights. It appears that you are looking for your hits on the paper. The deeper you go into a port the further you have to come back out.

  16. If he is using the stainless pins as media and tumbles for extended lengths of time it is possible to wear the nickel plating off or at least some of it off. This gives it a brushed/dull appearance.
  17. Are you depriming before cleaning? The only issue I have encountered with Federal primers is that I have run across a couple that were missing the anvil. I am talking 2-3 primers out of 100k over the years. From what I see I am thinking more of a powder issue or something in the primer pocket preventing the fire from making it to the powder. Assuming mixed brass?
  18. Out of the gate we had issues. Both my wife and I run them. Initially we broke 4 of them. The lens either cracked or completely shattered. C-More was 100% on taking care of us and working through the problems. I ended up putting a thin 1/32" piece of 70 durometer EPDM rubber between the sight and the mount. That was more than a year ago and they have been flawless since. I believe that C-More now recommends bedding them in Loc-Tite or something similar.
  19. If it's a stage that I want to run without a mag change I will count my misses/make up shots. Say it's a 25 round stage and I start with 29. I know I have 4 make up shots available. If I burn through those I know I will need a reload.
  20. Thank you all. Sounds like we will be plenty safe.
  21. We run them in a Limited and two Open guns. They are flawless. I have tried STI, Grams, SV.
  22. Not yet. Hoping in the next few weeks we have a warm spell so I can do additional testing. I feel comfortable on the cold end that our load is good. I know some powders have a negative affect in the heat. Sounds like AC is pretty stable.
  23. I did my chrono testing at 38F. 7.2gr with a MG 124CMJ 1.17 OAL got me a 171PF from my open gun and a 168PF from my wife's. These were 10 round averages.
  24. Used up the last of our IMR-7625 for 9-Major and making the switch to WAC/AC for now. Any temperature issues either hot or cold?
