  1. Must be gone. I can't find the cheap deals.
  2. Wife and I both ran stock barrels in our 34's. Combined round count about 70k and still shooting tight groups.
  3. I went with the alum. My research on various forums and talking to shooters was the alum held a zero better than the plastic.
  4. 650 and buy an extra tool head. In the extra tool head set up the sizing die only. When your brass is all prepped pull two pins change heads and crank out the rounds.
  5. Cameron's has been very good for us.
  6. The Redding dual ring sizing die works very well for me. Just ran 1500 rounds of mostly Glock brass (police range) and had two rounds that did not case gage.
  7. I too use a 12lb spring for major and a 10lb for minor.
  8. If it is factory ammo use the stock RSA. If you are loading your own minor PF rounds the 13lb setup will work well.
  9. Amish, No issues with water getting trapped in the primer pocket?
  10. I am using the 180gr RNFP in my 6" Limited gun. OAL 1.16, 4.8gr N320. It is a tack driver. Every bit as accurate as the MG 180's I previously used.
  11. For those that deprime prior to cleaning are any of you doing higher volumes? I go through about 1k a week so the thought of depriming, cleaning, then loading seems like a huge step backwards.
  12. I bought a Pro and sent it back. The trigger feel was horrible even by Glock standards.
  13. One other thing to check. If it was setup to run .45 then chances are it is setup for large primers. You will need to switch it over to small primer for .40/9mm. If you are shooting Dundee Saturday I will bring the DVD. Use it as long as you need it. It is a great help to get up and running.
  14. Glad someone grabbed that. I was tempted but having just added a second 650 I thought I better not. lol. For 9mm I am using Dillon dies with the addition of a Lee FCD (Factory Crimp Die) in position #5. I have the Dillon setup DVD if you would like to borrow it.
  15. USPSA is divided up into "Areas" based on geography. Within those Areas the are broken down into Sections. Each Section are given slots to Nats based on the number of participants. How those slots are distributed is up to the Section.
  16. Matt, CFE Pistol is correct.
  17. I just posted data for CFE Pistol & 3N37.
  18. Testing loads for a new Cameron's 9-Major gun. This round was 3N37. 124gr Montana Gold Hollow Point, Federal Match Primer, mixed once fired brass. 7.1gr 10 round average PF 155.7 7.6gr 10 round average PF 168.7 8.0gr 10 round average PF 171.8 No signs of over pressure.
  19. I liked the 3N37 a little better. The dot didn't dance nearly as much. I will post up the data from that tonight. I was really hoping the CFE was going to work better than it did. The powder meters extremely well and even at 7.9gr there is a bunch of room left in the case.
  20. I just tested some new .40-major loads this weekend. I loaded 180gr X-Treme plated and 180gr MG jacketed with the same 4.8gr of N320. The ten round average showed the plated bullets to be 45fps (average) faster at the same charge weight. This was out of a 6" 2011.
  21. Just got a new Cameron's 9-Major open gun and did some testing with CFE Pistol yesterday. This is my first open gun so I don't have anything to compare to. I tested two powders CFE & 3N37. Using 124gr Montana Gold Hollow Points, Federal SP Match Primers, once fired brass. COL 1.16". Initial CFE load 7.1gr gave me a 10 round average of 1360fps 168.6 PF. At 15 yards aiming at the center of the A-zone the dot jumped off the paper. Very snappy feel. 7.5gr gave me a 10 round average of 1427fps 177 PF. This load the dot stayed on the paper but climbed to the upper A. Did not feel as snappy. 7.9gr gave me a 10 round average of 1460fps 181 PF. Major signs of over pressurization. Very flat primers. Too hot! My bet the sweet spot for this gun/powder combo with be 7.3gr. Plan to test that this weekend.
  22. I ran that setup for most of a year. It cycled just fine. However when I switched to a Jegaer steel rod and 13lb spring I realized how over sprung I was. Much happier with a 13lb.
  23. Malcom, I just got a new custom Cameron's 9-Major gun last week. Yesterday I spent 5 hours on the range with a chronograph working on a load for it. Without the ability to load your own I can't imagine attempting that with unknown ammo. I used one bullet brand/weight and only two different powders. I will have several more sessions before I find a load best suited for the fun. Loading will teach you a different side to the shooting game. Get your feet wet loading for the guns you have now then venture in to the 2011 world.
  24. 10mm is my favorite round. I would be a buyer for a 220 10mm for sure.
