  4. Slightly off topic, but why does your AET like the longer length better?
  5. Anyone test new recoil springs from wolf, ismi, etc. to see how accurate the claimed poundage is?
  6. Start t4 then go around either clockwise or counter, use the recoil to always go up.
  7. Thanks to Smitty79 and others who answered, very valuable info as I am new to the CZ line. I will call Stuart and discuss options with him...
  8. just measured my factory federal (115gr) at 1.150, is it the bullet shape at 1.135 (blue) that I have to worry about? Thanks..
  9. Have an accu-shadow on order from CZ Custom. Thinking of a 4-5lb DA and a 2lb SA anyone have this combo? Also want to run 147gr Blue Bullet RN at 1.135 OAL. any issues?
  10. What is the Enos Twist and how do I do it?
  11. Looking at Brownells catalog and was wondering if anyone has any experience with Sprinco Progressive Recoil Springs. The ad claims they last for 50,000 cycles, where everyone else claims change in 3k rounds. I intended to try their 12lb. in my .40 SV 5.4 Sight Tracker. Anyone use these?
  12. Isn't it difficult to reload upside down? Otherwise looks great......
  13. Try e-3 or claydot for 45acp shoots clean and soft.

  15. Anyone know what size this is and where I can get one, Lowes, Home depot etc. Don't want to have to wait on Dillion if I have other choices....
  16. For my SV sight tracker with the AET barrel I use the EGW undersize with the depriming pin in station 1 and the lee fcd in station 5 to crimp and resize once more, no problems using Blue Bullets 200 gr. loaded OAL 1.205. .420 crimp. Passes the plunk and spin test.
  17. Usually same load as clays +/_ tenth grain...
  18. Had some Clays loaded in 40 cal. (blue bullets 200gr, oal 1.208) and some Claydot also loaded to the same load and FPS. Maybe it was my imagination but the Claydot seemed to have slightly LESS felt recoil. Yes, I have heard all about the pressure spikes of Clays and temp sensitivity, cleanliness etc, but this was a room temp for both, tried several times, result was the same, Claydot felt slightly softer. Interested in hearing about your tests...
  19. I have both. The SV is a true custom, probably with a wait time of more than a year. The STI is a production gun and if you get one from Brazos they will 'tune' it to your specs. Not sure what will meet IDPA classes. I have a Brazos HP Edge and it shoots great, but my limited class SV 5.4 Sight Tracker is in a class by itself..
  20. Did you have to change you powder settings after you installed this DAA "belling tool" ?
  21. 3.7 gr. E-3 200gr. Blue Bullets RNFP OAL 1.205-1.210 crimp .420, PF 170......Pull the barrel and do the 'plunk' test, before you load too many rounds. Every barrel, even from the same manufacturer is different. (brazos crp Edge). Chrono after you break in the gun (500-1000 rounds) .....
