  1. I have a small tungsten sleeve on my STI Tactical. It has a cheely grip as well. I kind of wish I didnt. It is less flippy but it's a pain to wear on my hip all day. Watching old video footage I don't think I've had a measureable decrease in split times compared to a bog stock edge. I've had island barrels too and the difference seems insignificant to me. Pick the one you like the look of and go shoot it. Check these videos out for the difference in muzzle rise. 2022 is after 2 and a bit years of lockdown with very sporadic shooting, I was more in form in the other videos pre covid. STI Tactical with cheely grip and no sleeve. : Tactical with sleeve. Stock standard plastic gripped edge. Infinity with island barrel.
  2. I think I might have swapped it to 5 minute stuff now that I think about it. The tungsten balls wouldn't stay in position. I did 3 layers and it was far too fat so I wen't back to 2. It's this stuff anyway. https://www.bunnings.com.au/search/products?q=araldite&sort=BoostOrder&page=1
  3. Here it is called Araldyte. It's a 2 part epoxy but isn't like jb weld. I went too thick with tungsten on a sig x5 grip and was able to peel it all off. It was only on for a day though, that might have helped.
  4. I've gotten it off with heat from a hair dryer before. Warm it up and it just peels off.
  5. It's way better unless you like the weight of the legion grip. An aftermarket trigger on the CZ has a much shorter reset than a grey guns on the P320. My p10 was more accurate than both my x5's.
  6. The factory STI ones were crimped down the centre basically making them single stack mags. The worst mags ever. Can only use STI springs and followers unless you get crafty with a different brand of 1911 spring.
  7. Spot the creepy old guy with the wandering eyes.
  8. Perhaps they don't dress for you?
  9. Classic Sig behaviour. Did they at least support the chamber this time?
  10. In any case he seems pretty happy with it. He has a bunch of nice guns and shoots the honcho 99% of the time.
  11. Not lies. It's in Australia if that helps identify it? There aren't that many around. He might be on his third and broken 2. I don't pay that much attention.
  12. I know a guy that has broken 3 locking blocks at my club in the last 12 months or so. Warranty would mean s#!t if it broke on a 32 round course at the nationals.
  13. Unsure how it is possible to pass a plunk test then need to force it out like you describe. Are you sure you are plunk testing correctly? Short ammo doesn't feed in my shadow 2, the nose sometimes hits the top of the chamber and wont go in but it will always eject ok once its in there.
  14. Asks for recommendations. Gets zero for that one guy. Buys from that one guy. smh.
  15. I got STI tactical tungsten sleeved. The slide was unmodified. It definitely shoots softer but damn its hard work lugging it around all day. I don't think I'd do it again. Looking at videos my splits remain unchanged, quite possibly I was faster with a standard plastic gripped edge but I was shooting more often then.
  16. Yeah the new ones with the disconnector can't so if a case blows out it is usually because it is unsupported.
  17. My grandfather is in a camp. The kangaroos came to take him away last Sunday at 5am. I don't think he will make it unless he reforms but he is a stubborn old galah.
  18. Wow, its still a problem. I've had no issues since I got rid of those guns 2 years ago. Wierd.
  19. Sorry guys, destroking is now the new hotness. lol Does anyone know what changed in the frame to stop it being stroked?
  20. Are the locking blocks a fitted part? A friend has gone through a few.
  21. My Shadow 2 regular edition. Good enough for me. Shot off a bench with my wrists resting on a gun bag and my hands and the gun elevated off the bench. Groups seem to suffer when I rest the basepad on the bench. Hobo ammo, mixed brass, home made 122 grain projectiles in different colours. 25 yards.
