  1. Curious......what effect does the depth of the pin have on the die?......I’ve love this U-die set up, but wonder how I have an occasional failure to deprime 9mm I m my 650....doesn’t seem possible...but I’ve noticed my pin will seem to works it’s way up after large runs.....thanks my experience......set to have the Die touch the shell plate and Hornady One Shot.....I know folks don’t get it , but I would urge you to drop the $5.00 and give it a try .......money really well spent...IMHO.
  2. Any insight in the pros and cons with Round nose vs Hollow point in open 9 mm Major. I got some RMR 124 RN and the new MPR HP in 124 as well and am working up some loads to try on my Chaos when it arrives....yea I’m excited. Any preferences or experience with either design and this manufacturer?? Thanks.......
  3. Thanks to all....with some help from Double Alpha......reset everything to factory spec .....exactly 45 degrees...reset ramp.....seems better....THANKS for your assistance.
  4. Thanks for your help! ...Rowdy...returned everything to manual specs. 45 degrees on the tub and level. Ramp adjusted.....back to where I started...Bullets goingin upside down!!.....no more piling up or spilling but the bad flips a PITA. Any other thoughts appreciated Thanks to all for responding.............
  5. Have had my MBF on my 650 for about 18 months and ran right out of the box....9 mm magic. Then my count of upside down BBI started to increase. So my mantra of “ No good deed goes unpunished “ came riding into town. I readjusted the angle of the tub as recommended by DA and while I was at it cleaned the plate and tub. Reassemble and BHAM....I now have every other Bullet upside down , bunching up by the ramp and falling everywhere. i readjusted the ramp slide and angle of the tub to no avail...... What the Hell am I doing wrong ???......... Any suggestions, experiences , or just laughing at me if fine also. How to screw up an almost perfect machine..............
  6. Rich.....it goes against my Shiney Brass obsession...but NO I don’t retumble....it hurts......lol........
  7. I found it’s a balance between having the die set properly and adjustment of the shell plate....what a pain in the ass it was to flick too many rounds into the shellplate with my finger. I tried greasing the index plate...and make sure the shell arm that introduces the shell on the plate is also properly adjusted. When the 650 is running smooth it’s a wonder to behold!..... Oh yea I started using Hornady One Shot on all my pistol brass....Butta’....why did I wait so long???.....
  8. Case Feeder should be standard on a 650.....what nonsense. Extra primer tubes Spare parts kit..MANDATORY ! spent primer hose adapter.....gallon jug under the bench....brilliant! Roller handle with foam pad cover Mr. Bullet Feeder....as effective as the case feeder....why did I wait so long...dumb. Zip tie on main frame to stabilize round with MBF..and zip tie to diasable primer arm...cheap and simple. Tons of quality lighting!!!....old eyes.... best of luck!
  9. Passed about 3K rounds now......no FTF.....smiling...
  10. Following all these reports with great interest ...9 mm 2 months out.....keep these comments and results coming... very interesting...Thanks to all..
  11. Isn’t it a great thing that’s there so still stuff people really get excited about buying.....and even more excited when it’s set up and running????..........there ain’t much stuff like this left anymore..........Thanks Dillon...
  12. Falconpiolot......glad you received your Atlas....mines still 60 days out....please keep us up to speed on your loading results...especially 124’s with Auto-comp..........best of luck and thanks in advance.........
  13. To all that graciously responded: Installed EGW extended firing pin, reduced firing spring pin. Yesterday changed to a new 17lb. mainspring. Cleaned mainspring housing and drop of oil on top of the plug. I know I’ll be cursed forever, but.....350 rounds from 3 different batches of Minor ...failures 0. Hoping I got some bad CCI primers because God knows I’m not smart enough to fix anything.........THANKS for all your council!!!!
  14. Thanks to all...trying different mainspring tonight and checking the 2000 rounds I loaded for primer problems......yikes!!!!
  15. I'm finding 17 & 19 lb. mainsprings..which I have both...who offers and 18 lb. or will 19 lb. suffice?....sorry if this is a obvious question !!
  16. Have a used Trubor that is recently experiencing light primer strikes. Have used over 100K CCI small pistol primers in the last couple of years . Nothing in my Reloading plan has changed except variation in powder charge. out of the blue the lite strikes reared their ugly head!.....I got very good suggestions from another thread and installed a Dawson and Tried an EGW extended pin and reduced spring....to no avail. The light strikes are intermittent.....maybe 2 out of 100.... Yes most of the bad strikes will fire if run through again.....what would cause this....how would primer seating change on my 650?? Shot literally 10’s of thousands of rounds through my Edge, and Atlas without a single failure. I don’t like stuff that doesn’t work properly!!! Any thoughts or experiences appreciated..........thanks
  17. Congratulations on the new Dillon....mount it so you can use both arms to operate it......the right shoulder can wear out .....lol.....you’ll see....
  18. If I can continue the firing pin discussion. Having some light strike issues with my 9 mm Trubor. Is there a downside to installing a Dawson extended firing pin and reduced spring to try to eliminate the problem? I can’t imagine it’s not just a parts swap? Thanks
  19. I’ve had the wide shoe problem forever....I’ll tell ‘ya a 2E shoe will never be a 4-5E shoe !!! The best shoe I’ve found is the New Balance Trail Shoe....second pair...aggressive tread. I even use a shoe stretcher .....it blows....wish Salamons would make a real wide shoe...
  20. Works great on my 650...occasionally flipped Bullet ....working on that......get it!
  21. Following on load data.....124 RMR RM and HP accu-comp.........any experiences yet ? These pistols look fabulous!!!!
  22. Saw a thread in another section and lost it......have a MBF on my 650 9 mm using 147 Blue Bullets ...having an upside down Bullet every 25 rounds or so......other than this it’s perfect. How do I adjust the unit to eliminate this .....Thanks in advance!
