  1. My experience...I seemed to have run into a large batch of Bad 9mm brass I got from a friend. I was having an abnormal amount of rejects when case gauging. I case gauge every round I load...I know. Someone here suggested the EGW U-die...bought it, installed it , used it ....The good....3800 rounds loaded last weekend 15 rejects...amazing. The bad..I had to start case lubing my brass.. Tried some Diilon lube I had sitting around for rifle and it was an awful mess..I used way to much lube. Switched to One Shot , followed direction exactly as advised, love this stuff. Press runs much smoother...so maybe the lube thing turned out to be a good thing !
  2. Very satisfied with my new Limited 9 Titan. Adam runs a tight ship....great product...great service and a nice guy.
  3. Just rebuilt all my practice mags for my 2011 9 mm Edge. I thought I would try Tarin Tactical guts to see how the set up works. After the first test all the mags have one cartridge left in the mags???...... I've used STI,Grams in my other mags and have experienced follower modification, etc. The springs and followers preformed well......except! Anyone ever experienced this??......I received a very nice response from Tarin Tac. And told me this was normal because it's a competitive product?......I found this confusing. No criticism for intended......just trying to figure out if I need to lose a round on each mag load ???? Thanks. ....
  4. Bite the bullet and get the Uniquetek wrench......tried several options...this one works....hank it on the side of your strongmount. dillon wrench a great disappointment.............
  5. I got one of the EGW 6 hole gauges .........it's tight......compared to my Hondo and single gauge.........
  6. Installed my MBF on my 650 last night. Had great response from Rick via Email with my questions. I had the problem of the drop hanging up as well. I moved the entire unit closer to the front of the case feeder and problem solved. The spring must be relaxed to prevent hang up. Test drive today........but so far I'm very impressed with the product and the service..........why did I wait so long.......a slow study for sure..............
  7. Update.......received and installed MBF on my 650 last night...still have apprehension about dumping the powder check...it is what it is.......Installation took awhile....because of my OCD problem , but went smooth. I had to adjust the feed set up in the collator.....but it all made sense. I ran about 25 bullets through the system and it seems to work very well. Big test drive today......high expectations! As always I'm late to the party..........why did I wait so long????? Thanks to all....I think I made the right choice with the MBF..........
  8. Update.....installed the Udie in my 650 for all my 9 mm rounds. Tried it without case lube...was hanging up a bit. Tried the case lube in plastic tub.....definitely helps with a smooth operation. Down side...there is crap sticking to everything...plate, brass and finished rounds....yikes!!!!!! I case gauged 1500 rounds of semi-sorted brass and pulled maybe 20 rounds that were gauge rejects. Very satisfied with the results. In trying to find a decent method to avoid re cleaning after loading. The towel method seems to work OK. However my brass has lost its beautiful shine after the case lube route.....oh well....I guess it's the trade off. Any further suggestions on removing excess lube after loading appreciated. Will this lube help or hurt the rounds when I use them???? Thanks to all for pushing me down the road......Mr. Bullet Feeder arriving next week.......beyond excited !!! Thanks to all !!!!!!
  9. Update...ordered a MBF last night....saw a friends in operation on his 650 and 1050.... pretty cool stuff.....why did I procrastinate so long.......Thanks.......
  10. I'm a very slow study.......I installed a Udie for bulges on my 650. I have read several places that by changing my die away from my carbide Dillons I will need to use a case lube on my pistol brass for ease of operation! I have not had time to use it yet. My question is : Will lube be necessary, if so is is mandatory to remove the case lube after loading?......If so what is the easiest way other than retumbling. This is what I'm trying to avoid....I load runs of 1K 9 mm at a time.......Sorry for the confusion ...........Merry Christmas ......
  11. Just a question......what bullet feeder did you get ????? First impressions????.......I'm at the GSI/MBF crossroads......sent some sample Blue Bullets to GSI for testing last week..........
  12. So does everyone agree if I have to clean the lube off after loading...I'm using to much lube. im going to try the suggestion of Dillon case lube in a flat Tupperware container and simply rolling the 9 mm brass around in it.....make sense ...how much spray to minimize cleaning afterwards? Thanks........?
  13. Asked and answered.........Thank you !!!!....makes perfect sense..............
  14. I hope this is the appropriate section for this question.....If shooting a 2011 in Limited class...why have the slide lock NOT lock back on your pistol ? it seems if you run out of rounds it would be easier to reload with the slide locked back....any thoughts on advantages or disadvantages....rebuilding my mags..... Thanks
  15. OK....you've got me almost convinced ......however if i Tupperware as suggested do I then need to reclean in tumbler after loading???......this seems like a PITA after large runs.......I'm trying to simplify the processe! thanks for all the informative thoughts!!!!!
  16. Installed the U-die last night and ran 6-8 cases through it....I'm damn impressed so far.....case gauged all the processes brass and perfect results on 3 gauges. Im a slow study.....why and how to lube 9 mm brass????....I've been through 65K +- 9 mm brass with no problems....is this new die not carbide and will I have to lube all this brass.......Thank you for all your help....it's a constant learning curve for me !!!
  17. I saw Dawson is offering MBX springs and followers for STI mags.....I'm rebuilding 8 STI 9 mm mags this winter and wondering if theses will work in my current mags and any thoughts......thanks in advance!!
  18. Ordered a U-die in 9 mm for my 650 to help with some brass problems. I read somewhere a user installed his die in station 2 instead of the 1 station used for depriming. Does this make sense to put it in the priming station to help resize the brass.....or just replace the existing Dillon depriming die in station 1?? thanks hope this thing works!!
  19. I think Mr. Dillon deserves several threads!!!!!.......what a great innovator and created one of the finest run businesses in the country........Thank you for all you've done!!!
  20. Ordered an EGW die for my 650. Do I install and adjust this new die with the shellplate loaded with brass on all stations or empty? Is it actually supposed to come in contact with the plate or back off a little bit ?....Thanks....looking forward to trying it out for my PITA buldged 9 mm.
  21. Any thoughts on the Dillon primer loader??......it's getting a bit tedious.......hope this is the correct place to post .....thanks!
  22. Thanks for the informative replies. I want to keep my 650.... I want to keep the powder check if possible, I've settled on Blue Bullets in 9 mm for my loads.....looks like I will investigate the GSI.....that's a lot of coin.....but I'm processing a lot 'o brass Thanks again!!!
  23. Yep....complete teat down and through cleaning....my seating punch came loose as well...recheck it...also visually check disc alignment........been there.......
  24. I need council on a bullet feeder for my 650 .....any suggestions on brand, accessories and installation greatly appreciated. im having concerns with loosing my powder check....!! Im loading a large, for me anyway, amount of 9 mm and need to speed my process up a bit... thanks in advance.....Christmas is coming !!
