  1. The Duluth cooling shorts are excellent as well....3 pair...very satisfied in this miserable heat wave!!
  2. I had my older Rudy’s converted to reverse reading lenses.......front iron sight was crystal clear, targets blurred. Dicked around with this process for awhile....they were useless on rifle optics. Then someone shooting Open said “ here try this”....and it was all over....at 66 I’m hoping red doors have extended my ability to shoot a couple more years anyway........love Open and certainly get the Carry Optics phenomena!!!
  3. Duluth Trading Company......very satisfied with cooling shorts and Tee shirts!!
  4. Been there....had several interesting conversations with the Major Pistol folks about residue on my Chaos. After much educational back and forth.....he suggested it’s possibly my barrel was cut a little deeper than normal and to try to increase my COL to fit the barrel. I was dubious to say the least. Went from 1.165 to 1.175 COL with PD 124 and 9.8 MP........the debris problem was virtually eliminated. Pleasantly surprised. Was it a couple of bad jugs of powder??....will never know....but I respect the Shooters World folks for working with me to solve my problem...it’s good to be taken seriously!!!! Thanks.
  5. Kid......apparently the barrels can be “ throated”??..to different depths and this was the case with me..actually running same rounds on both Chaos. I agree the logic seems counterintuitive at best!
  6. I had the same problems awhile back with unturned powder / debris on my Open pistol using MP. Had several long and informative discussions with the manufacturer. His suggestion was to increase the COL of my major rounds??....although I thought this was a stretch went from 1.165 to 1.175 COL in my Atlas. Lo and behold debris problem not totally eliminated but I would say 90% any way.....and more to my surprise PF numbers were marginally changed. Interesting lesson anyway....very happy with the powder .........
  7. Great topic and threads.......” The buzzer wipes your mind clean”......excellent!
  8. Very interesting thread!! I started USPSA at 60 years of age. I throughly enjoy every aspect of this sport except my old age limitations against 25 year old Bucks. Starting late was a major disadvantage from a mental and physical point of view....just in time for my eyes to start going. My wife and I have a rule we’ve lived by forever.....When it stops being fun...stop !!.... I believe it’s true...
  9. When I first started with 9 mm loading I tried various popular SPP.....I had the worst experiences with..Winchester by far. Not smart enough to know why they were so difficult...on the 650 and RF-100..... Now 170K of CCI SP I am throughly satisfied! like everything else in this sport...people swear by their favorites!!
  10. Thank you very much for the article ! How can there possibly be that much advantage going through all this mess as opposed to once fired 9 mm ??
  11. I’ve found overall Graf & Sons pricing about the best on MP in 8lb. jugs......next Powder Valley
  12. Over 30 days out on my PD order ...., just sayin’
  13. I can’t speak for the alternatives... I run 2 Atlas Chaos in 9 Major and am throughly satisfied! Service and staff are excellent!
  14. Old people love big !!
  15. Sarge... so what’s the benefit???
  16. I’m a slow study......can someone give me the lowdown on these cases? Looks very interesting, albeit expensive, any thoughts or experiences? Thanks.
  17. If memory serves me , which it’s rarely doing nowadays, I think the $70-$100 is really just for the shipping and handling. Regardless best deal ever!!!!!
  18. Thanks....we haven’t had enough bright sun to test my second one !!
  19. FPF....whatever it’s worth...I purchased a used 650 from a friend at an amazing price. Same problem as you are having . called Dillon about alignment problems...received excellent advice and several replacement parts...to no avail. Sent it back for a rebuild ($79).....swore it was a whole new press when it was returned. 160K of 9 mm and .556 later it’s running like a champ. Absolutely the wisest money I ever spent. Maybe worth considering??
  20. Just curious... anyone notice a substantial difference in the dot intensity with the shield on or off? Particulary in bright sun... Thanks
  21. So after all this hoorang .....the original poster was not satisfied with his initial service. He was contacted by Atlas and returned the pistol for further evaluation. At this point , blame not relative, the problem was solved and owner shooting passers. Done and done....yikes.
  22. “ Some shooters are using Major Pistol to load Major Rounds “ ?.........huh?
  23. Rangepanda......excellent...availability with or without sunscreen...perfect fit....
  24. The Best???...... whatever doesn’t break on your pistol. I went through C-more and multiple DPP. Running 510’s on 2 open ...so far so good...knock on wood!
  25. As a matter of fact he did!!!......we discussed adjustments on my RF-100 and he sent me 2 of the plastic cups........
