Thanks.....this is what I am try to achieve......experimenting tonight...!

I know there has to be an easier way to test Powder loads on my 650 . Currently I’m turning off the case feeder with .556 brass and use a Zip tie to disable primer system. I then process a couple of 9mm cases at a time and weigh each. I’m experimenting with major loads and this is a slow tedious process. Any experiences with improving my process ?......Thanks in advance

My experience: avoid the DPP , at least for awhile. I have 3 of them and not one works properly. As per my conversations with Leupold they are not shipping any DPP as of Wednesday. Having a screw problem??......just my horrific experience.

If I’m boring you..please tell me to hush up.....DPP...received first repair last Tuesday.installed sighted in..match results..same problem as before...will not go to brightest setting, will not shut off and went to “sleep” right before I started shooting..made it through the match. talked with nice folks at Leupold again ( we are on a first name basis)..sorry for my trouble and sent me another return label..second ones going back. I was curious about simply getting one new unit to replace one of the three I own, was told they are NOT shipping any DPP out as of now...some screw problem...well the beat goes on......standing by.........

Well done video to say the least....I was hoping my Chaos would be equal or better than My 9mm Titan.......no worries.....its the same quality and craftsmanship as the previous pistol....flawless...my problem is with the Leupold DPP sights.....have 3 all bad...second one reutrned to the factory this AM.......I guess I got a bad run of 3 sights......avoid this option like the plague...ruined an amazing pistol for me anyway.........

The route I took was to purchase a well!! Used 9mm Trubor to see if the whole Major / optic thing was for me. 2 weeks later ordered my Chaos from Atlas. If for no other reason the Optics concept is simply the Best!!.....for my old eyes it’s a God send. Getting used to the Major power factor has been an interesting experience. Still trying to do my final tuning. Open is a blast for an old guy.........and my Chaos is as good or better than my well used Titan.

Not that anyone particularly cares but.....receive first DPP repair from Leupold this week....replaced circuit board, other repairs. About 3 1/2 weeks out. Seems to preform properly. Getting ready to return number 2 for same problems...but my “free” shipping label is over their 30day limit. Trying to get another label.......and the beat goes on.....

Rest assured your making a good decision!....have a Titan and Chaos..better tools than I’ll ever be. Adam has always been a pleasure to deal with and has protected me from myself on more than one occasion.

Received shipping notice from Leupold.....first repair on its way back. Corresponding with really nice guy......service is just slow....hope this repaired / replaced one holds up..... Got to much tied up in these 3 to switch to Romeo3 and mounts....at least right now..

Update.....nothing to report......still,waiting on first DPP returned for several issues....have a pre paid label to return second DPP for other problems. Have sent several Emails to Leupold about turn around time, status of repair....no response. I find it difficult to believe I’m the only customer with 3 , yes Three DPP that don’t preform correctly. This is prime match season.......not impressed one bit!!

My second DPP will not automatically turn off even after 30 minutes .....Shot a match Saturday and it went blank after the second stage..slapped it hard and came back on....frustrating....and I’ve got 3 of them. I’ll see how Leupolds repair system works when and if I get the first one back. They kindly sent me an address label to return the second unit. Never had any of the problems with AR style red dots...my Eotechs have been magic....I’m sure it’s apples and oranges though.

I just reordered 124 RMR RN...what’s the advantage of using the Match flat nose Bullets? ....Thanks

Finished my Chrono work and shot my first mate with new Chaos. Found 2 Best loads...using 124 RMR RN set to 1.165 mixed sorted brass. solid 7.1 grns. of WAC averaged 1362 on 4 tests, 8.2 grns. Of HS-6 averaged 1392 on 4 tests....seemed to shoot OK Am going to retest 8.1 grns. of HS-6 and 7.2 grns of WAC for my final loads......does this sound about right from others experiences? This is my first Major 9 adventure.....Thanks!

Anyone else having problems with the DPP red dot. I’m now the proud owner of 3 of theses jewels. One is at Leupold for repair...just received the shipping label to return the second one. Units have trouble turning on....then only 3 brightness levels ..scroll through and then turn off. I know I’m old but the instructions are pretty clear about the simple operation???......didn’t think I would need a backup sight.....Operator error ?? Thanks...

I’m on the Open pistol learning curve as well..Atlas Chaos. Have read the posts about various Major loads and am going to Chrono about 5 different set ups with 124 RMR RN today as a matter of fact. Was hesitant about the whole Major 9 thing until I started actual shooting them....it’s a whole new world from 9 Minor to say the least.....but man it’s exciting!! If anyone’s interested I can posts results of this testing....should be interesting for a first try!!

Great video.....ahhhh to be young and fast. Just started on my Chaos loads as well.....Autocomp and HS-6 with RMR 124 RM.should be interesting...loaded some 7.2 AutoComp after reading this thread...a place to start........

Do any of you use your open for standard matches and steel matches?....is there an advantage to running Minor loads for steel , then Major for regular matches? Im contemplating using my Chaos for Major setting up my old Trubor for a large upcoming Steel match with Minor loads. Any advantage/disadvantage to running Major at a Steel match......does this make any senses ? Finally ran a pretty test of my new Chaos yesterday....maybe 700 rounds....very impressed....now for the Chrono work.....Thanks in advance.

Old age vision problems....first shot through a Leupold on an open gun ...I was a goner.....new Atlas Open arrived last night...excited. its fun to be able to see the sight and target at the same time......imagine that!!

New Chaos arrived last night...beyond excited. Initial impressions: damn nice!!....fit and finish are excellent, slide tight and smooth as silk...got the short blue trigger..seems crisp. Side note ...The Leupold Delta Point Point Pro on my old Trubor is definitely not working properly...it's a pain to remove this and return for repair......excellent timing I guess. It;s a sad state when you have test ammo loaded months before your pistol arrives....lol.....

So at this point the .556 case in the case feeding arm and the zip tie on the primer arm is my best bet ??

I’m recently doing considerable powder charge changes on my 650. I know there has to be a simpler way than blocking of the case chute, disabling the primer assembly and feeding a case at a time to weigh the charge . Im sure someone way smarter than me has figured this out.....my way is a PITA.......Thanks!!

Thanks Sarge....makes sense....any way to solve this problem??.....the primer re-install brings things to a screeching halt....lol.
