  1. About ten years ago at the Michigan State IDPA Championship, the MD checked everyone's equipment at registration. He found two loaded guns.
  2. That's why I bought carbide too, but using case lube makes the process so much smoother.
  3. I see a lot of guys making this mistake. For me, when the stage is over, it's over. I don't dwell on it. I don't think about it. I just move on. This will make sense when you win a major by less than a second. When the match is over, then you can dwell on your mistakes and try to learn something from it. Don't do it during the match. Nothing good can come of it.
  4. Sean Gaines started a really nice thread about exactly 8 years ago. One of the many things he talks about is creating a check list.
  5. Jamison is a solid guy.  I bought a G34 from him in May 2019.  He shipped it right away, and the gun arrived exactly as described. This transaction was very smooth.  Jamison is an honest guy you can trust.

Thank you sir!! Very glad you are happy with the G34!!

  6. I agree. I wouldn't want that guy at my range, and I wouldn't feel bad sending him home.
  7. It's us, not the guns was the quote I was referencing. The gun absolutely plays a factor in accuracy. Let's say your sights happen to be lined up on the edge of the plate, will the round hit? An accurate gun will still hit the plate. I'm not convinced a production gun would hit the target in my made up scenario.
  8. How do you make it? I agree with Jack on this one. I have a box that I use for this purpose. Make sure to lay the cases on their side, spray down your brass and start loading. I've never waited to start loading after spraying my brass with 1 shot. I've never had a squib. I'm curious about the 1 shot that may have caused squibs. Is there gun powder present or evidence that the case was charged with powder?
  9. Every indoor range I’ve been to has its ceiling shot to hell.
  10. Tell that to the ransom rest. I'm with Jack on this.
  11. Here is another one. It was in one of the Die Hard movies. You have a 5 gallon bucket, a 3 gallon bucket and a water source. How do you get 4 gallons without using anything but the 5 and 3 gallon bucket? There are two answers to this puzzle. Highlight below to see the answers: Answer #1: Fill the 5 gallon bucket. Pour the 5 gallon bucket into the 3 gallon bucket. Now there are 2 gallons left in the 5 gallon bucket. Empty the 3 gallon bucket and pour the 2 gallons from the 5 gallon bucket into the emptied 3 gallon bucket. Fill the 5 gallon bucket again and pour off one gallon into the 3 gallon bucket that has 2 gallons in it. Answer #2: Fill the 3 gallon bucket. Pour 3 gallons of water into the 5 gallon bucket. Fill up the 3 gallon bucket again and fill the remainder of the 5 gallon bucket. Now there will be one gallon left in the 3 gallon bucket. Empty the 5 gallon bucket and pour the one gallon of water that is in the 3 gallon bucket into the 5 gallon bucket. Fill the 3 gallon bucket and pour into the 5 gallon bucket with one gallon in it.
  12. My thinking was the burned out LED would look different than the other two bulbs. Burn one out, flip another switch, walk in the room, exam the two bulbs that are out and you can figure out which switch operates which bulb. If a burned out LED is indistinguishable from the others, this strategy won't work.
  13. Very cool puzzle. I gave up and had to look at the answer.
  14. Turn one on and come back in 50,000 hours after it has burned out.
  15. Inside of a closed room there are three light bulbs. On the outside of the room there are three light switches. Each switch turns on one light bulb. You can only enter the room once. You can't see inside the room, and you can't use any tricks or mirrors. There is nothing else inside the room. You can't use your camera or your phone. Nobody else can help you. How do you figure out which light switch turns on each light bulb?
  16. I got a good chuckle out of this one. You forgot Clip-Clop, Clip-clop, BANG, MISS, BANG, hit on a non-threat....
  17. Counting shots and having my plan go sideways for whatever reason reminds me of something I heard Mike Tyson say during an interview. "Everybody has a plan until they get hit".
  18. Does anyone here use Bob Marvel Oil aka MFR-7? In the past it was manufactured by ABC Compounding through Pro Gold. They no no longer have the rights to manufacture this oil. While it is no longer available, it will be in the near future. If this is an oil you are interested in, send me a PM or follow my dealer forum. Thanks!
  19. This is why I didn’t buy my safe with an electronic lock:
  20. When I researched safes, this was a company that was recommended to me. I would agree that this is a good safe for the money. They also do a nice job with their videos on various concrete anchor bolts.
  21. This is my favorite post on this thread!
  22. I have known Matt Cheely for well over ten years. He is as solid as they come. I don't believe you can go wrong with Matt.
