  1. Amazon. Energizer, blister packed, 25 for $10.12. They appear authentic, test at 3.3 volts, keep well in the fridge. Haven't had any trouble with them. As they're used the voltage slowly decreases (as tested on a multimeter), and at around 2.7v the dot "strobes", as designed by CMore to say "change the battery". I have several RTS2s, and they each seem to have their own battery life.
  2. We don't seem to have those here. Still working on improvement, but age (and skill limitations) keep getting in the way! ?
  3. Nice work. That ought to save us a lot of 50-cent 2032 batteries! Sorry ... 40-cent batteries.
  4. Participation trophies, too? ?
  5. RTS2 is waterproof. (Aren't they all?)
  6. Yeah, I could see $2750, although it seems some accessories might still be desirable...
  7. I'm looking at the M7 Evo (manual version) and can't seem to find one for sale. M7 sells the Evo Pro but has has the manual Evo greyed out, and others such as DAA have only the Evo Pro builder listed. Is there any way to get the manual Evo? Also (this is directed to folks who actually own a manual Evo and have been running it), what "optional accessories" are needed to run the manual Evo successfully? And what will that bring the cost to? I've seen it listed for $3900 at doubletap sports (on pre-order, which is on hold) without accessories, so it sounds like it can go a bit higher. Thanks!
  8. It's one procedural, for the extra shot. There's no reload penalty, as he reloaded at the proper time. It appears the RO needs some remedial instruction ? .
  9. Exactly the same thing happened to me at a local recently. Locked up, cost me the stage. Paper clips from now on. I'll sell the other two to somebody who likes 'em.
  10. Also how the firing pin stop (FPS) is shaped... ...and.whether you use a shock buffer, and the powder you use... ...lots of variables ?
  11. A difference of 10 oz (that's more than a half-pound) is definitely noticeable, in overall weight, balance, and recoil absorption. I have steel grips on three guns, and they all shoot better for me.
  12. It's not so bad. I've been shooting it this afternoon; nice little exercise, uses a lot of skills. I'm finding that I'm pulling the last shot on T1 to the *left*, I think because I'm already thinking transition to T3 and losing target focus... Nice run, Ryan!
  13. 8.3 HS6, 124 gr MG CMJ, WSP primer, 1.170", 171 PF, SV 9mm 5" bbl. Probably a little less powder in a KKM barrel or a 5.4" bbl. It's a breeze. Lots of room left in the case. HS6 is a major player in Open major.
  14. Is there anybody on this forum (BE), where one can ask questions and have a dialogue? I'm considering a new press myself (to replace my 650) and would like to know what our BE brethrens' experiences have been.
  15. This ^^ makes sense. We don't feel good about the DQ, but we didn't do the violation. We're all responsible for our own safety practices, aren't we?
  16. That may be pretty much wishful thinking. If the RO can clearly see the finger in the trigger guard (and it's possible to do so) the rules say it's a DQ. It's one of the more common newbie errors, and experienced folks do it, too.
  17. Yes, and the highlighted text clearly specifies that the *elapsed time of a competitor's attempt* at a COF must be recorded. Not splits, transitions, reloads, malfunctions, etc. Like everyone has been saying ... it's the last shot that counts.
  18. I have 4, have also had others. All are running fine. (I'm guessing that folks that don't have problems with something don't write in to complain about it.)
  19. Aren't any hits through walls Mike's? Walls are impenetrable, so a steel that falls when shot through a wall would be a REF and a reshoot, yes?
  20. Yeah, without a comp it would pound your hand, pretty much, and have a lot of side movement. Carry Optics works pretty well in Minor, I'm told.
  21. A "Tribrid" is the same as the "island" barrel that SV uses in their IMM guns. It's also known as an "island" barrel because of the "island" of steel on top at the front. In an Open gun with popple holes (drilled through the island) it's known as a "hybrid" barrel. I have one on my Akai Custom Hybrid open gun, and it's a wicked shooter. They're also used on Limited guns, without the popple holes.
