  1. $95/1000 shipped for Montana Gold 124 JHP or CMJ (case price) is pretty good, too. Or Precision Delta 124 JHP at $89/k when you buy 2k or more.
  2. Two buffs "destrokes" the gun by .200", leaving .100 of stroking. Depends on how the gun runs with vs. without the buffs. I've tried 1, 2, and 3 on my stroked gun, and 3 gives the best dot control and tighter pairs (for me, that is). YMMV, gotta experiment.
  3. Amen to that! But ya gotta be ready, y'know, and it takes what it takes ?
  4. Don't see many folks - well, anybody, actually - doing prep that lengthy. Are these local friends of yours you're talking about?
  5. Nay. Not needed for this setup.
  6. Relax. I was replying to mwray, not questioning your judgment. ?
  7. Where does the rule book say we're excused from the rules because we're having a bad day? Fix it and move on!
  8. Why would chamber flags be needed to transport pistols to the range? The gun is in a box or bag, and it won't be handled until you get to a safety area. There are already rules about it not being loaded (with anything). Then it goes into a holster and stays there. So why we would we need a "chamber flag"?
  9. It appears the MD made the right call. Good info for all of us.
  10. ... particularly what you think puts Evo at the bottom of the list, considering how many of them there are out there (some of us have shot all three, so be specific) ...
  11. This is perhaps the best way to handle it. Accurate, respectful, fair.
  12. So, like ddc said... It sure gives me pause, too. Maybe we should wait until they get the bugs out.
  13. And you're basing this on...what?
  14. Sounds like someone on commission ?
  15. Not Ford/Chevy at all. Sweep yourself, just sweep away. You'll get DQd and then complain that it's "not fair" because nobody got hurt. Enjoy your Blizzard.
  16. You're likening a DQ yo breaking a child's arm? Seriously?
  17. It's not whether someone has done it before (hopefully by pure mistake) but whether it's a rule, and a reasonable precaution. I'm remembering Cooper's four rules. (And if you're muzzling yourself and don't care, WHY?)
  18. Especially the mini-dots. We torture them pretty good. I like 'em, though, and they're pretty serviceable overall. Only have one spare. ?
  19. And so is everything else, at 9ne rate another. They're not perfect, and a lot of people like them. Make your choice, buy what you want, and go shooting!
  20. Disagree. The race holsters lock the gun in rather firmly, when locked, which is their job. And we're forgetting that the purpose of a race holster's lock is to lock the gun when waiting to shoot; when it's time to shoot, the intent is for it to be unlocked and the gun grabbed at the beep. That's what it was made for. The retention holster was designed to retain the gun until the point the user wants to unholster it. It's a straw man argument that the two holsters are somehow the same and somebody is being unfairly targeted.
  21. This ^^^ is the crux of the issue. (Can we go home now and do some real shooting, dad?)
  22. "Punish"? How? By requiring a shooter who owns a hooded or retention holster to actually use the hood or retention device? Like they don't know how? Come on! ?
