  1. I run 8.3 3n38, a cci srp, 124 delta @1.17 in my chaos and get 171 pf which is very close to your numbers. Thanks for post more detailed data.
  2. I switched to the Atlas mags in 9mm and have had zero issues, no tuning and for the price you can't beat them.
  3. 14 or 16 depending on the purpose of the gun.
  4. I belive you are correct it is a different process and has worked well for the mags I have so far.
  5. They cut the mag release hole like 15thou lower to raise the bullet a touch higher, then re-did the top shoulder etc to gain a better angle and reliability. They also used a different process so that tubes come out more dimensionally consistent and correct. For my gun the bullets hit the top 15-20% percent of the feed ramp very consistently.
  6. using their spring and follower, it will be capacity. I use the TTI spring and follower and have the same capacity. Both the TTI and Grams stuff work in their tubes as well.
  7. This is what I heard as well, and the other issue is the longevity of the the gun.
  8. I have been running the new Atlas mags for a couple of months now. All of my STI, MBX, and SV mags were either sold or are now practice mags.
  9. I really liked the ELEY I shot as well. Seems a bit hot in most guns but they are prob trying to make sure its major for about any open gun.
  10. I like the double alpha safeties as well.
  11. I honestly don't remeber. I think it was the tool head out of spec that ended causing the issues with the primer shuttle bard and the plunger. Mark7 took care of all of it. I have loaded so many rounds now, I don't remember..lol. I was like number 15 on the press so I have seen some stuff, but Mark7 has alway been helpful for my stuff.
  12. I saw slower in cold but same as above by about 15-20 fps
  13. Sig, Now that I think back, I believe what MountainMan said and Baragasam showed in the photo was the alignment pin had been pushed up and was not timing at the correct time, but late due to it being out of place. It has been awhile, but I believe mark 7 sent me the primer feeding parts and a new tool head to correct the issue.
  14. Sig, I had a very similar issue and when I took the primer bar off on the bottom side you could see where the plunger had been striking the bar early and I was having alignment and primer seating issues. It actually got so bad it locked up the whole primer feeding system. I ended up just having to send in those parts and they sent me a new plunger slide and other primer feed parts. They did not explain how I could have adjusted that issue. They just sent me parts and I put them on. Been about 30k round since then and no issues.
  15. My choice for 9 or 40 ss mags is Tripp. Dtill like WC for 45, but for a 9mm Tripp is the ticket.
  16. When I ran 9maj. I did the whole buy a pound of each as well. I also found it to be a waste of time as well, and it ended up coming down to 3 commonly mentioned powders. Autocomp, AA7, 3n37. I ended up using autocomp first and then AA7. I changed because of availability at the time and just never changed. I actually liked 3n37 the best but the cost and availability made it easy to choose one of the others.
  17. I use the double alpha gun sleeves, but I have shorty pistols so not sure they would fit middy or full length guns
  18. That does seem short, I would wait to see what Shay says before loading them that short. My 9maj gun would go around 1.175. I loaded them at 1.165. Just FYI, Shay does not like auto comp for a open powder. My guns came with 8 lb cut spring, to get to right length, use the spring plug and push the spring down until till it stops, remove 1/2 coil or so at a time. Make sure the plug just touches the slide stop and does not stop on the coils of the spring.
  19. Yes it was a tension issue. It was actually just a little to tight which was causing the tooth to drag on the new round, it was just enough to slow diwn the slide, which caused the pictured issue. Or a failure to go into battery. Returned the extractor, and haven't had that issue again.
  20. I agree with GrumpyOne on this, the first thing I would check is the extractor and make sure it is good. My gun did something very close to this and was very random and it was the extractor causing the issue.
  21. I have a rotation of match mags so I change Springs usually once a season. I have 4-170s and 8-140s that I run for matches in a 3 mag configuration. 1 big 2 small. So they dont see as much work as the guys that runs mainly the same mags every stage. I have not had any issues changing them out once a season. I run STI Gen2 Mags, with TTI Guts.
  22. I would not stand there as an RO because it doesn't look safe. I may have missed it if someone else mentioned it, but what got my eye was his clothing. He is wearing a white jersey with tan pants, stand with his legs together and some could see that as a target array just like the one they are shooting at, and we all know people do some strange things when the buzzer goes off. If someone broke the 180 and they yell STOP it would prob be after the first round fired, and if they thought it was a target array it would be bad for him. So like others said he seems to have a false sense of security that the 180 is protecting him. I would just find another place to observe from.
  23. I recently shot a 100% on this for Open with a HF of about 1 point higher then the current HHF. I left and entered on the partiald. It seemed to me the way I shot it to waste more time shooting the partial first, or waiting to shoot the partial last. Wish i had a video of it now.
