Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Well today was a great day for the wife as she had zero malfunctions with her gun!
  2. Took the wife out to SC yesterday after changing out to the 1911 guide rod with a 12lb spring. She has the p320 9fs that has been RMR with a delta point. Before the guide rod/spring change we were having a lot of stove pipes. The gun ran better then it has but instead of stove pipes out of about 120 rounds she had about 4-6 fte but with these fte was almost like the ejector didnt even attempt to grab the case. I am shooting reloaded ammo. The gun has a total of less then 500 rounds through it. Will this issue get better or should I be contacting Sig? The wife sold her 2011 to buy this gun as she is also waiting for aftermarket parts from Grays. Looking for possible tips before she starts to get frustrated.
  3. Currently loading at 1.055 OAL with 3.8gr ETR7 How long are you loading them? I shoot 124 Berry's FPs but I load them pretty short to avoid them hanging up on shorter chambered guns. Mine run fine in a 320 FS I own. I'd suspect extractor/extractor spring assuming your rounds pass the drop test in your barrel.
  4. Has anyone had any issues with flat points out of the 9fs? I am currently using 124gr berry fp. Have had some issues with FTE. Just changed out to the 1911 guide rod with a 12lb spring and going to give that a try with my same load. Not sure what is cauaing the issue. The gun is brand new. Had 300 rounds through it. Might be the addition of the deltapoint on top was a little much for 130pf ammo hence the reason for the guide rod spring change.
  5. What is the stock guide rod weight on a 9mm? Looking at putting the 1911 guide rod setup in and was wondering what spring weight you might suggest? My wife's setup does have a delta pro on the slide.
  6. As a guy who started out on RL550. I think you are fine as long as you are not just pulling the handle. Do your research and just pay attention. Good luck and happy loading. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  7. You arent the only one. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  8. You need to undercut the trigger guard. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  9. Lol Grape. Maybe that is my problem. I have been in the game for a little over 2 years and starting to grasp the game. Just seeing if I am missing the little things that can improve my game.
  10. Awesome. The plan is to have one lower for CO and one lower for minor open for the wife. Do you know if the competition trigger is going to be production legal? Thanks for all your info.
  11. Just remember. Its like riding a bike. If you have not rode one for a while you still know but just not as comfortable right away. Get your feet wet and keep your head clear and in the game. You got it. Shoot straight and be safe.
  12. The other thing you can do is sight your gun in with a 6 o'clock hold. So that way on your long shots you can place the sight just at the lower part of where you are wanting to hit and not cover up your target blinding yourself. If you are blinding yourself to your target it is hard to shot call. Good luck and welcome to the sport.
  13. I just had my first DQ the Saturday before Area 1. It was on a retreat stage and I tripped and broke the 180. After reviewing the video in which I was in denial of the 180 It took me several times before I actuality found where I broke the 180. But the finger was outside the trigger guard so... I guess in the end I need to watch my clumsy feet.. It is not if..its when. SHOOT STRAIGHT AND STAY SAFE!
  14. I enjoy shooting with better shooters as it does help push yourself. At the same time you have to remember to keep things to your level. Sometimes the stage plans that the higher level shooters come up with might be outside your comfort zone. So just try and remember to make it your own to a point and keep it at your level.
