I have tried both. I actually see green faster and brighter, until match day and I lose it during transition or on the draw in the green grass etc. So I use red because of the contrast with about everything at the range.

I know a guy that builds them here and there. If I need a new holster I just ask him. I don't have the equipment to that myself.

If you have open rafters, I have used the hooks made to hang bikes up. That keeps them up high and usually out of the way, and the hook is deep enough a little bump is not going to make it drop. If it's a sheetrock wall, still good option, but leaves a larger than normal hole.

I think you will find everyone is a little different. During the shooting season, I am sure people clean them more than off season. I clean mine after every match. And completely break it down quarterly. So it gets a full detail strip 4 times a year

I run a bladetech DOH. It has been a great rig. I know there are others out there, but since it works, I have never changed.

I like the ambi safety as well. Probably because I am use to them. But to me when using them in competition and transferring a gun from one hand another. Having a ambi is worth it to me.

CR Speed pouches with the inserts that come with them are a good option as well.

I am on the list for an open gun, so I am watching and learning. I see several shooting 155's now. I have a bunch of 140s and a couple of 170s. I not sure the investment is worth it for me as I have so many 140s already.

I run a 40 SS only because I reload have Limited gun as well. I loaded the 40 rounds to make PF in the looser of the 2 barrels and only have to load one round for both divisions.

I did what most of the others said above. I watched what others shot and talked to the guys shooting them. One of them purchased a new gun and wanted to sale his (3rd) backup. So I was able to pick it up for around 1500 with some older extra mags. I bought new guts and checked the tuning on the mags and started shooting. Luckily for me some personal friends are custom Gunsmiths and went through the gun and tuned it all up. I still shoot it as my main Limited gun.
