I am obviously a little biased but.... SV comes in 4 different sizes (compact not really used for competition), 4 different textures, 3 different trigger guards with 2 different profiles, mag release on either side of the grip and in grip logo options. The small (1.25" width) is a little smaller than the old polymer grip and is for folks with small hands. The Signature grip is also 1.25" in width with improved ergonomics for a higher grip on the gun. The large (1.30" width) is essentially the same size as the old polymer grip. I shoot 115gr bullets in my Infinity IMM open gun with 4 large holes in the barrel. For your gun I would suggest a starting load of 10.2grs of 3N38 at 1.250" OAL. You will probably have to go up from there but that will get you in the ballpark. Lee

Lee, Not able to confirm it? Greg P. who RO'd on Stage 5 for Squad 33 told you that personally shot from the stairs, and multiple squad members did the same. Roy told you that he watched Dave B. from Squad 33 shoot from the stairs and was present for that Squad discussing if they needed to shoot from the platform or not. Roy was before your ruling, and when Greg told you, your answer was that I was free to take it to arbitration. Duly noted. I'm sorry that the first witness, the match RO changed his story, and that you had to make a decision based on dishonest information, but I'd have thought the word of those guys would have been enough for further examination before going to arb. I'm curious, with multiple people telling you that Squad 33 had people shoot it differently, including one person who did it himself, and RO'd the squad, what kind of confirmation would have been enough? ***EDIT*** Please don't take it as me being argumentative, it's a legit question. I realize that instead of talking to Ken about the arb (and dragging him into this, which I apologize for) I should have gone to you, so I realize I'm wrong, but with the evidence and witnesses right there, not sure what else could have been done on-site. You were very clear that despite what both people told you they saw and did, that you had made your official decision. Post match I found another member who was part of the discussion and who saw people shoot it that way.....Note I'm not upset, or accusing you or Ken of anything. You guys put on a great match, with a staff that worked extremely hard, and I appreciate it. As I said, I'm just sorry that the match RO changed his story when you asked him, his honesty may have put a different spin on the whole thing. I am going to end my discussion of this topic by saying I made a ruling based on the best information I had at the time. There is a clear process for escalation beyond my ruling for which the shooter was offered. Ya'll (you all for non-Texans :-) ) can beat this horse some more but that is it for me. I will agree another rear fault line would have made it more clear, I am sorry with bright florescent orange painted lines that look like ALL the other fault lines in the match were not clear enough. Will do better next time by being more clear, maybe flashing purple LED fault lines. Lee

Ok, final results have been posted to USPSA. Sorry for the delay but circumstances were beyond my control. Thanks to everyone who came out to shoot and also to all the RO/Staff. It was a HUGE match, probably a little too large stage wise but if Ken and I do it again we will certainly make adjustments. Also, just to address some of the questions posted in various place I will provide some context from my point of view: Stage 12: This was tossed because somehow a steel plate that was available to be shot from the front position of the stage on Thursday/Friday was not available Saturday morning. The hardcover steel and the plate stand were extremely well staked in place (thanks Jeremy) and the footings were in the original locations but somehow it was moved to not present the same view as before so I had to remove it from the match. Stage 5: The WSB was very clear that targets were to be shot only from within the fault lines. The stage had a double sided set of stairs that led to a very clearly marked fault line area (1x2's painted florescent orange like ALL other fault lines in the match). If you were in the shooting area indicated by the fault lines the target presentation was very tough. If you were standing outside the shooting area the targets were completely and fully visible. As a significant advantage was gained by shooting the 3 targets from the stairs outside the fault lines I issued 6 procedurals. Per rule 3.2.3 I clarified where targets could be engaged on the WSB to attempt to reduce recurrences. As to folks saying the RO's shot it differently and not receiving said procedurals, I was not able to confirm that anyone actually did that. Stage 7: There was a report the WSB from Thursday was different than Saturday. I hate to break it to anyone who thinks that as only 5 copies of the WSB's were brought to the range by the MD and they were all verified to be identical. I believe the issue may be the stage diagram said all mags had to be on the barrel and the WSB just said they could not be on your person. Someone at some point figured out they could place a mag on the chair between their legs and some others didn't and got ticked about it. Lastly, I am aware the USPSA website shows me as only CRO. It is incorrect, I am an active certified Range Master. I will ask it be updated again but if anyone doesn't believe it, call the Director of the NROI. Even with the controversy that seems to plague every major match lately, I hope everyone at least enjoyed the shooting challenges presented. Brandon can send you some grips to test out with a reasonable deposit. The Infinity Traditional is the same size as a regular plastic grip. The Signature grip is quite unique in the widebody space and the Infinity Competition is a smaller grip for those with small hands. Textures are a little harder to describe except the one I like, Micropockets Aggressive is just that, very aggressive. You grab the gun and that is it, no moving around. One would think Micropockets Tactical would be less agressive since the edges are rounded but it is still plenty of grip but doesn't leave you bleeding :-). Regular Micropockets is fair grippy and then you have the SkaterTerrain. It can be had with 60 grit which is pretty much equal to Micropockets Aggressive to 120 grit which is about the same as all other skate board type tape. If those descriptions don't explain it all give Brandon a call and he can get you some samples. Lee

I used E3 extensively when Nic and I were shooting Limited. 4.5gr with a 180gr MG JHP and 4.3gr with Precision 185gr Moly's. Worked great and was very clean at those pressures. Lee

Actually we make an STI specific model. STI keyways are much more varied from frame to frame and it is best to measure yours and provide us the info when ordering. We can manufacture an exact fit. Lee

OP asks opinion of product, if anyone saw it first hand.. You say they are junk, without any actual reason or evidence.. Real helpful. I agree. Infinity grips are what, around $800? PT grips are OK but why can't there be other good products out there. Matt Cheely is the C in CK and they don't come any better than him. Our grips potentially cost more due to the number of options available. Sizes, textures, cutouts, multiple trigger guard options, logo recesses, etc. Similarly configured, ours are available for about the same pricing. Our advantage is time in the market. We certainly have had time to work out the bugs. Some others, not so much. I am not saying they aren't good, I can just say from 7 years of experience they will have bumps in the road. Lee

SV mags are made specifically to fit the SV metal grips. Like all other 1911/2011 style parts, some fitting may be required. People make a big deal out of this all the time but in reality they work most of the time. Not really any different than an extractor or ejector. Some adjustment may be needed. Just like factory STI mags sometimes need fitting as well to work in a STI. Lee

No, we make a bow shaped for the polymer grips and another for our metal grips. Just specify when ordering on our site. Fitting to other metal grips probably would require some modification but should be too much. Lee

Curtis, Glad to hear Winchester is handling the replacements. I know you said you were going to use a Caspian slide as a replacement but if you use Infinity slides and have a similar experience in the future you could just replace the breechface and keep shooting. Lee
