  1. New, dedicated website is up and running. www.texasopenchampionship.com Online registration and online payments now available. More info will be added as details become available. Lee
  2. The current Armscor USA 38 Super RL brass is a good product. I usually run Starline but as stated before, a second source for compatible brass is a good thing. I bought 10k pieces from Ivan at Armscor a while back. I have shot about 4k of it and reloaded several hundred 4-5 times now. Still going strong and I was confident enough in it we shot A4, A3, and Nationals with it and had Zero issues. Lee
  3. They are sold by the pound, not by the bunch. Break off what you want and roll.... Lee
  4. Stages are done and some will be familiar to those who shot the Back to Back Nationals, many are new and look very interesting. They will be posted officially soon. Lee
  5. Nope...they are virtually identical dimensionally. Lee
  6. No, send Troy an email and he will get you fixed up. mactiger@eatel.net Lee
  7. Well, I just checked the Starline website and 38 SC still says not orderable. When did you order this brass you just got? I am headed to the range tomorrow to shoot the third loading on some of this Armscor. I will report how they look.
  8. Well, I tried to order some Starline 38 Supercomp brass and found out they won't even take online orders. Call in orders are being told 6 months. I do not have to have any as I am a reloading nut and have 20k new brass loaded rounds, but I want to have brass on-hand. I gave Ivan at Armscor another try and found out he had Armscor USA 38 Super RL brass in stock. I ordered 10k. I received the brass in about a week. This is not the same old Armscor 38 Super RL brass from the past. It is more uniform and has a different headstamp. Primer pocket and holes are centered and uniform on every piece I inspected. It comes in 2500 piece boxes and looked like a good quality product. I have already shot about 500 rounds and reloaded and shot 100 of that. I don't know if it will reload as many times as Starline yet but I am glad to have an alternative immediately available. If you need some compatible 38 Supercomp brass, shoot Ivan an email, ivan@armscor.net . He told me he has plenty in stock. Lee
  9. From www.uspsa-nationals.org Match FFL: Blair Cooper Western Arms & Ammunition 1478 South 270 East, Bldg. 2A, St. George, Utah 84790 (435) 628-1254 They will also accept ammo shipments which will then be available at registration for pickup. Competitors should put their name on outside AND inside of package.
  10. There is no magic powder...find something you like and works and go shoot more of it. For .45 with a 230gr, Clays or VV310 is great, AA #2 is fine too, just a little dirtier for me but works fine. Lee
  11. Infinity, Texas made, ALL billet barstock, and Brandon spends more time finishing parts than anyone I have ever heard of...square edges, highly polished matter to them as much as the quality of the parts. Their hammer styles are also very cool. Whatever you want. Lee
  12. I use Accurate #7 and 3N38 interchangeably. I use them with 115 and 124/5gr bullets, pretty much whatever I can get at this point. #7 is slightly dirtier and it will bridge in the powder measure though. Lee
  13. OK B_Seehawer, I get you are used to the sideways mount. Sudden Death, how about you? Why the sideways mount? Lee
  14. Good looking, why the sideways mount though? Lee
  15. Actually, you submitted a Gunbuilder at 11:04 AM on April 19th. It was responded at 6:04 PM the same day. We cannot control email but our site clearly states: "Our goal is to respond within 24 hours. (If an email is not received within 24 hours we suggest checking your SPAM filter/Junk Folder or login back into Gunbuilder and review messages added to your design.) The Factory will make any necessary recommendations and provide a quote." The details have been IM'd to you. Sorry you did not receive the information in a timely manner. Lee
  16. I bought a Kurzzeit/Neco PVM-21 about 2 months ago. I built a box from 3/4" MDF that is about 16"x14"x12" and put everything in the box. I have 2 batteries for it and carry a laptop to connect via USB for a larger display. It is not a simple point and click unit but if you spent some time setting up the reporting function it is a really cool unit. I will be selling my dual CED M2 setup as this is so much smaller and more of an engineering tool than a simple toy. Lee
  17. Did you do a Gunbuilder design at www.sviguns.com ? Lee
  18. Electromagnetic sensors are cool. If the field was big enough to use away from the gun for semi-autos it would be even better. Lee
  19. The tactical grip is not as gripy as the 60 grit skate tape but it is as good as the 120 grit. Now, take that from a guy who had Brandon make a Super Aggressive grip for me. It is so sharp most people cry when shooting my gun but I love it. As to the new shop, compared to the old one it is a palace. Every machine has plenty of room and it setup to be easily cleaned. They have an indoor 50 yard shooting tunnel, loading room, shipping, build, receiving, and on and on....I love it. There is also a 3 very large bay range out back. I will be checking it out this weekend. Lee
  20. It is the Tactical surface. http://www.sviguns.com/largepics/300.jpg
  21. Lee, how long are you 9mm rounds? Factory length rounds usually never work in a gun designed for 1.250" rounds. Are your mags SV? Did you send your mags with the gun to be rebarreled? Also, like others have said, call Brandon. Lee
  22. I don't have video but watched him shoot. Steel, steel, static, bobber. We discussed it and after he saw several shooters shoot it he decided the drop turner was just too slow. Lee
  23. Guys, I have PM'd Kale with more detail but here is my take. There is no score for him in the Nook that was used on Stage 5 both Saturday and Sunday. I had Nic verify that for me as I am out of town this week. When I return I will check the hard copies, I assume it will be there. Unfortunately the 1 hour period past without anyone noticing and thus the scores are final as posted. I cannot change anything. I feel bad as he would have been declared the winner with even a marginal performance on the stage. With all the folks who did not show up at all and those who did not show up on Sunday I just didn't see he was missing one scoresheet. I am sorry about that but it is the shooters responsibility to check. I consider Kale a friend and certainly am disappointed to see him not get what was deserved.
