  1. When I bought my first RTS2, a lot of people were having trouble breaking the battery covers... The covers aren't on the C-More web site (maybe they are now) so I called them up... They are exactly $5 each, so I bought four of them... I've broken one since then.
  2. Agreed... I plan to buy the 1050 Quick-Change kit that includes the powder measure... although I'll replace the powder tube with one of the extended volume Pyrex glass tubes.
  3. I have a Super 1050 that I want to convert from .40s&w to 9mm... and most likely back again once in a while... so I'd like to make it as quick to change between .40 and 9mm as possible. It seems like the best way to go is with the Dillon Quick-Change toolhead conversion and the Dillon 9mm Parabellum caliber conversion kit... They both use the same size primers, so that should be good to go... anything else I'm missing?
  4. I'm curious to see what part number your new battery tray has... I bought four extra RTS2 battery covers from C-More last February... The part number is RTS-SP-001-B...
  5. Are you talking about V2 and V3 circuit boards or battery trays?
  6. I have been using the Everglades 115gr 9mm JHP V2 RN bullets for quite a while and like them... Always thought that Everglades actually made them... How did you find out that Montana Gold makes them?
  7. They sit and spin at the opening for the tube... Dillon said it was because WSR are out of round... Sent some new parts, but no help... Tried all kinds of adjustments... on a mouse pad... not on a mouse pad... adjusted the screw... adjusted the amount of vibration knob... I'm back to my flip tray... 100 primers in a little under two minutes and none upside down!!! No babysitting the RF100... Much less frustrating...
  8. Nice craftsmanship... Beautiful gun... Who built it? Lots of poppel holes... 38sc?
  9. I use Winchester Small Rifle (WSR) primers in 9 major and love them, but they absolutely suck in an RF100.
  10. Take your barrel out and drop several of your reloads in... They should drop in and drop out freely... This is called the plonk test for the sound it makes when you drop a round in...
  11. What's an ACCU-Block? I Googled ACCU-Block and got tons of hits, but none had anything to do with firearms.
  12. Is denatured alcohol better than 91% isopropal alcohol? If so, where can you get it?
  13. Ask your friend if he had the same problem.
  14. Dip my finger in the oil bottle, spread it on the shaft... Only need a small amount.
  15. Interesting... Thanks! So, the concept is to make the slide lighter for faster action... and also keep more weight on the front of the gun?
  16. What a sweet looking gun! What is happening at the front of the slide? It looks like there is a split in the slide between the first two rib cutouts. Can you post a picture with the slide racked back a bit?
  17. Interesting comments... When someone above mentioned that the Everglades guys made these sights, I figured you would either have one (which it appears you do not) or have an opinion on them... Have you tried one? It does seem odd that this sight position reintroduces possible sight-brass interference with small mini dots... I figured that there must be some kind of a trade off that I couldn't figure out... Some kind of benefit to the rearward location... Would be nice to compare one side-by-side with a standard sight.
  18. What RTS2 mount locates the sight to the rear of the slide? Seems like a good idea for a 9mm Open gun. I've seen Chris Tilley shooting one at the Nationals.
  19. It seems like there is quite an advantage to "faster" barrels like your KKM... You can use less powder (smaller bang) and get a higher powerfactor. Why don't all barrel makers design/create faster barrels? I assume the faster barrels use straighter rifling (less spin) to generate the faster speeds... Does that result in less accuracy?
  20. One thing that helps me is to walk downrange and look from the targets to the shooting areas... Especially if there is a large crowd mulling around in the shooting area... Sometimes this helps find alternate positions to shoot targets...
  21. How would you compare the Wolff variable springs to ISMI springs? Say an 9mm Major Open shooter was using a 9 pound ISMI spring... Would that compare to a 9 pound Wolff variable spring?
  22. Interesting... similar to a high primer where the firing pin seats the primer on the first strike... I never thought of that... Thanks for the tip!
  23. Curious as to why you mention light strikes with throating the barrel? Do you think they are related?
  24. Congratulations, that's quite an accomplishment! I'm still trying to get out of B...
  25. We lock stages for big matches where the tablets don't travel with the shooters... But our bays are narrow... We don't ever shoot two stages hot. Shot the Custom Gun Classic yesterday... It had two hot stages in one bay... They used two tablets and a second RO to score... Faster if you have an available second tablet.
