  1. I had one of the Maddmac's comps on my RFPO Ruger... I shoot CCI Standard Velocity and sometimes Eley all lead bullets... After time the lead built up in the comp and was very difficult to get out... I just switched to one of the TandemKross SS comps you linked to above and want to keep it clean... I plan to spray some case lube with lanolin on the comp before I shoot it... It helps keep the carbon out of my USPSA Open gun, but I don't shoot lead bullets in it... What do you recommend to keep the lead out of a .22 comp? Thought about Slip 2000... Curious about the vinegar/hydrogen peroxide mix...
  2. Firing pin spring in my TruBor started showing wear on the sides... Thought I'd use one of the Wolff firing pin springs that comes in their recoil spring package... It was way too long and heavy... Kept using my old spring... Would like to find some standard firing pin springs.
  3. Yes, they are... I meant I didn't notice much difference between the Federal small pistol primers and the Federal Match small pistol primers...
  4. Ran across some a few years ago... They worked fine... Not sure what exactly is different, but I chrono'd them and didn't notice any difference.
  5. Thanks for the info... Shooters Connection is my favorite place to buy gun parts... Good service... fast shipping...
  6. Your grammar corrections are helpful, but a link to the correct screws would be greatly appreciated... Are there different angles of the bevel near the top of the screw? Different heights of the bevel?
  7. Glad you got everything working... RemOil is a lite oil... No need to buy anything else... I clean my magazines before every match... I shoot CCI standard velocity and they buildup wax on the inside of the magazines... I clean it off with a long Q-tip and some carbon cleaner or alcohol...
  8. Great looking gun... Did it come with a polymer shock buff, or did you add it?
  9. Have you found a supply of longer screws that attach sight mounts to an Open gun? I suspect that they're some kind of standard cap screws, but don't know the thread size... or bevel under the head... or where to get them... Would like to get some with a star bit instead of the standard allen/hex bit.
  10. Interesting... Sounds like they put a lot of thought into the concept... Be interesting to see how popular it becomes.
  11. Sorry to hear about your match problems... that can sure be disappointing. http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Ultima-Lube-II-Lite-Oil-4-oz-Bottle/productinfo/621-4/ I shoot two Ruger .22 pistols in Steel Challenge and find that they like a lot of oil, but they like a thin oil... I use Wilson Combat Ultima-Lube II Lite oils... The thinnest (linked above) for my .22 Rugers and the heaviest for my center fire pistols... I always lube the bolt during cleaning and before I start a Steel Challenge match...
  12. Odd that it comes with multiple barrels and so many magazines... Not much information on it anywhere...
  13. Any good pictures of what the Honcho actually looks like? It looks unfinished in the photos at the top of this thread.
  14. I knew AA7 was dense, but didn't realize the granules were that tiny.
  15. I have an RF100 that flips Winchester Small Rifle primers... They sit above the tube and spin... Sometimes it jams the oncoming primers when one just sits and spins, so I end up taking the top off to fix it... It happened so often that I started running my RF100 without the top... I ended up hovering over the RF100 clearing jams... My RF100 has loaded well over 40,000 Federal SPP primers without much drama... Maybe it's worn out or it just doesn't like WSR primers... I have no idea. I contacted Dillon and they sent me some replacement parts... They didn't help... Dillon said that the WSR primers are out of round and don't work well in an RF100... Other people here on the forum say WSR primers work great in their RF100... not for me... I'm back to my trusty flip tray and pickup tubes...
  16. I have one... Don't get one (or two) if you plan on using Winchester primers...
  17. I have an RTS2 on my Trubor... They are shorter. The part of the slide mount that is contacting the cases in your pictures doesn't exist on an RTS2 mount because the sight is shorter... I'm using the Brazos RTS2 mount on mine... also a Brazos ejector... and a Aftec extractor...
  18. Yep, same one... Thanks for posting back.
  19. Plastic? Did you get the Arrendondo powder bar?
  20. What Metronome app are you guys using? I tried the Android app "Metronome" and it works well, but won't let you set the repeat time.
  21. 1.175" is a pretty long 9mm cartridge for a Trubor... Did you have to throat the barrel?
  22. Interesting... I've been using a powder measure replacement bolt from eBay... It has a large head that I can mark to see if it moves... Unfortunately, it does move a bit during reloading... Doesn't seem like much, but it might be part of my problem with FPS variations... My standard deviation is 10 over 15 rounds. Does the UniqueTek micrometer change settings during reloading? I assume it doesn't move and stays in the same place due to the finer (maybe tighter) threads.
  23. I'm always trying to get the extreme spread and standard deviation closer on my 9mm Open loads... Currently using 8.8gr of HS6 and wondering if it would help to move from the Dillon 1050 small powder bar to the large powder bar. Are there any range limits that determine when to change from the small powder bar to the large powder bar on a 1050?
  24. Interesting... I wonder if you can tell the difference between a V2, V3, and V4 RTS2 by the battery cover... or maybe the opening for the battery cover? My first RTS2 started shutting off during stages... Replaced the battery and it still shut off... I thought it was a version 4 circuit board because the dot turned on automatically after I replaced the battery without turning it on with the button... After I received it back from C-More they said they upgraded the circuit board to version 4 and replaced a broken battery tray... I didn't notice that the battery tray was broken... You need to look closely to make sure the battery tray isn't broken... and apparently what I thought was a version 4 circuit board, was not.
