  1. Sounds like you just don't have confidence in the M&P9. I get it.... You might just have to get rid of it and move on.

    Vp9 bullets

FWIW...I shot a thousand or so 125 coated cone nose bullets from Black and Blue Bullets through a P30L and P30. I also shot a couple thousand of them through a P2000. All ran great. No leading, very accurate.
  3. I do a little over 10k pistol a year and I'm fine with the 550. But I do enough .223 the off press work is a pain I do wish I had a 650. But when I was just starting out I was a little overwhelmed.
  4. Ok... But it's good for 147 and lots of people use it..... FWIW, I've run a similiar OAL and velocity and had good results so sounds like something else is going on. I hate the -sometimes some guns, some combinations- but maybe that's what you got and the search will continue. My current 147 load out of my G34 is: 147 Black and Blue Bullet RN 1.16 COL 3.6 WSF .377 Crimp Range Brass CCI 500
  5. My crimp is in the range of .377 - .378. Pretty much just knock the bell off.. As for dirty; if that is low charge that could be why...
  6. Flakey? I think it's a "ball powder." At least that's what the jug says. And it meters about as good as anything out there... And who cares what it looks like as long as it works. But I think something else is going on.... What velocity are you getting?
  7. I find the beavertail grip makes for a more natural grip...for me.
  8. The striker retaining plate should be pushed in more until it clicks. Then those plastic tabs you speak of will be out of the way.
  9. RN feeds a bit more reliably in some guns.. With that said, I preferred 185's for cost. I bought 185 RN
  10. Hate to hear that.... But I run a KKM bbl and 147's and have very good results. Have pics of some very nice groups and I buy 147's with confidence.... But I shoot a 147 RN from Black and Blue Bullets and push it with WSF... COL 1.160 My bell is enough not to shave lead or flake brass which is generous and the crimp just passes the plunk but usually you can see a slight line around the bullet if I break it down. Good luck!
  11. I think TG is top stuff. I use 3.6 to push a coated 125 TC through a KKM bbl and Glock 34. Have a handful of groupings (with pics) from 1.3 to 1.7. In my area TG seems to be #1 for 9mm.
  12. With the apex competition kit my pull was 2lbs 2oz. I loaded it to minor and shot it in Production for a few years. Very nice!
  13. If you have nothing else; looks like a decent powder to pick up...
  14. Cutting in half could be you.... can you duplicate it? On demand? Some bullets with some powders and some at some COL are just the sweet spot. I've shot multiple and repeated 1.3-1.75" groups at 25 yards with two different loads in my G34. If I shoot multiple repeated 4" group with another load then it's the load. Probably more data on your end is needed to verify but yes...that combo could just be it.
  15. My carry is stock.... Seems it could give somebody an oppurtunity to exploit something... not worth the headache to me..
  16. I think the DAA is a better belt. My CR speed...the velcro failed just over a year. Buy once, cry once.... If you buy good now it will be years (or a gun change) before you change a gain. CR speed pouches last forever....nobody replaces them... but if you want to try bullets out you may want to go with the 360's.
  17. I never had good results with their AR mags so not in a hurry to get their Glock mags. Wouldn't mind if they helped dropped the price on the factory ones though....
  18. You may have a better feeling trigger going back to the stock sear spring too.
  19. At the Oregon State match CZ was the most popular gun in the top 10. In fact, it might have had every place but 8 and 10.
  20. Great info thanks! How does it meter, what does it look like and what would you compare it too?
  21. TG and BE are both great.... seem a little less smoke no matter what I'm shooting with BE. TG has deviation in the single digits even with range brass for me in both the 9mm and .45 loads I make. I have ample quantities of both and it's pretty much all I look for.
  22. What about just getting it to auto-forward.... And if you rest your thumb on the slide release lever its even more likely to chamber for you.
