Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for the response. Although I work for a company, I use my gun. I'll try a case law search and get back to you.
  2. Hello All, I'm fairly new to the forum and I hope I'm posting in the right place. I recently purchased and installed a ZEV race connector and competition spring kit for a Gen 4 G35 that I plan to use for USPSA Limited. I like the feel of the trigger so well that I'm thinking of doing the same to my G17 which I use for an occasional IDPA match. I also carry this gun as my CCW and when working armed security. Any legal issues? I live in Florida.
  3. Thanks for the response. I just noticed that the slide had no issues when the trigger is ready to be fired. Once the trigger is engaged, and while holding the trigger to the rear, the slide will not cycle.
  4. Greetings All, I successfully installed a Gloxworks 3.5 # connector and competition spring kit in my Gen 4 G35. When I re-assembled the slide stop (the extended one that came with the pistol), it seemed fine but after working the slide a half dozen times or so, it engages and the slide locks back. I have taken the slide stop out and put it back in a few times and its the same. It starts out fine but after 6-12 repetitions of working the slide, the stop engages the slide with no magazine. Any help will be appreciated.
  5. i didn't know that. My G35 came with a factory 3.5 connector. I polished it, the trigger bar, safety plunger and it seemed to smooth out. What drop in connector would you recommend?
  6. Got it,,,thanks!! Still cant figure why the Ghost connector won't work.
  7. Hola! Pretty easy fix! Lock the slide back... Remove the rear plate... Remove extractor bar and striker... Let plunger fall out of the bottom of the grip... Take out extractor... Bring slide forward... Should come right off ;-) In the future, those orange armorers plates really make this easy :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Orange armorers plates? Ok, the slide is off but I can't get the locking block pin out
  8. Thanks all! I really appreciate the help!

    Stuck Slide

Hello All, I tried to self-install a Ghost Rocket 3.5 connector this evening. I thought everything was fine, put the gun back together and the trigger is stuck in the forward position and will not move. How do I get the slide back off?
  10. Greetings, I have decided to shoot 40 minor using my G35 for IDPA and USPSA Production. Will upgrading to a Storm Lake barrel be beneficial? I have a local bullet supplier that can feed my all of the lead cast bullets that I can shoot and I was thinking the Storm Lake barrel would pay for itself shooting lead for practice. If anyone has a nice .40 minor load to share, I'm all ears. I currently have TiteGroup, Clays, and IMR 700-X. From what I've read on this forum, I want to stick with 180gr bullets.
  11. I purchased the barrel from Midway USA. Do I send it back to LWD for reaming? I hate to sound like a whiny little boy but 4-6 weeks?
  12. How are you going to handle this? Have a gunsmith ream it out? Don't they advertise this as a drop-in barrel?
  13. Factory rounds don't seat all the way in and don't spin freely. I'm using a stainless steel guide rod with a LW 13# un-captured spring.
  14. Hello All, I purchased a LW 40 SW to 9mm conversion barrel for a new G35. Went to the rage today and three different types of 9mm ammo would not fully chamber. The slide would not go into battery and considerable force had to be used to eject the round. The ammo used was Hornandy Critical Defense, Remmington 147gr FMJ, and my own loads. I had my G17 (with factory barrel) with me and all ammo chambered and functioned flawlessly. Has anyone experienced this problem? I chatted with LW and they want me to return the barrel but will take between 2-4 weeks to process the return. Is it just me or does that seem like an excessive amount of time to process a return?
