  1. Good thing for Erik there's no PF requirement for Ft Benning.

    Chuck - what's on OG?
  3. I've shot the piss out of the cheap metal Chinese 7.62x39 mags. They rust easily, but run like a top.
  4. I don't think it is illegal. However, if you deactivate your grip safety with grip tape (e.g. by pinning it down), then that's illegal. A study of the Production rules does not specifically prohibit deactivation of the grip safety and the primary safety in an XD is in front of the trigger. I just shoot and don't study the equipment rules, so I can't say that you're wrong. However, allowing the deactivation of a safety on a Prod gun seems counter-intuitive to me.

    Chrono - G22 Vs G35

    What's up Johnny!
  6. I pickup up a 9mm the other day. It came stock with the extended slide release - which makes it MUCH easier to drop the slide.

  8. I was told that when the MS Devise is taken out, some spring has to be replaced!! Heck, I only paid $20.00, it's worth it for me What is the benefir of the Sear takedown lever?? Other than to take the Sear out of the way?? Yup...all the sear takedown lever does is release the sear without having to pull the trigger. You only need the spring IF you leave the takedown lever in there, if you take it ALL out you don't need anything. Have had 0 problems. Just to be clear - if I simply take out the take down lever and spring, then I'm good to go? Thanks!

Agreed. Both of my barrels are stock.
  10. I think deactivating a safety in Prod isn't legal.
  11. I had the same issue. You can fix it two ways. One way is to dissasemble the pistol and shorten the the "ledge" of the grip safety. The safety will still work, but dissengages with less depression. Make sure you know exactly how to dis/re-assemble the XD and only take a little material off at a time. The second way is to build up the grip safety where your hand contacts it. I've seen this done with skate tape and it seemed to work fine.

    Chrono - G22 Vs G35

I shoot a similar load, but only 4.3gr. of titegroup for a 170 pf. Whats your OAL? 1.120 OAL
  13. I hate cleaning firearms. I don't even remember the last time I cleaned my M1S90. I'd guess at least 600+ shells ago. How often do you M1S90 shooters clean your shotguns?

    G34 Or G35?

Agree with all comments about the G35. For Production, it's nice to be able to 9mm because you can buy cheap factory ammo if you don't want to reload. Do you get any practice ammo from your department?
  15. I beat all of you to the rips early in this thread!
  16. Shred - does that mean those are bump resistant?
  17. I just looked through the sponser page - wow! You guys have done a great job. Thanks.
  18. The 5# connnector has less creep and a faster reset thant the 3.5# connector. Of course - it's not as light. That's what I use. YMMV

    Chrono - G22 Vs G35

I tweaked my LTD load, so I chrono'ed it today out of my G22 and G35. I got a 166.xx PF out of the G22 and a 173.xx PF out of the G35. That's a significant difference. Guess I'll shoot the G35. The load is a 180 Zero JHP over 4.5 grains of Titegroup.
  20. Erik, Erik, Erik . . . That sucks! I hope you blew away the other shooters' times - since you were shooting sub-minor ammo and all {sorry - I couldn't help it} Anyway - put LOTS of powder in those .40's for the A6 3 gun in a few weeks! You may want to go slightly more stout than your usual 166 pf - "just in case"
  21. +1. Well done Flex! So TGO wins the Production Nationals and Sevigney wins the Limited Nationals. It's a crazy, mixed up world . . . .

    Glock Springs

    For 9mm, I like the Wolf 12#.
