I picked up an AK pattern rifle in 5.56. It's a Romanion SAR 3. I thought it would be fun to have an AK in 5.56 to shoot with my AR's. It's not a great 3 gun rifle, but I may shoot it in LTD in a local 3G for fun (reloads on the clock and long range shots would kill me). Anyway, it has a Tapco G2 fire contol group that's pretty good. It feels like a good, short revolver trigger. However, a revolver-like, single stage trigger is pretty challenging at any range. Is there any good way to do a DIY trigger job on an AK fire control group? Red Star Arms makes a nice adjustable trigger, but I don't want to spend the $80.

I shot my new M&P 9 and I like it a lot. Like every other box stock pistol I've handled, it does need a trigger job and new sights. I just sent mine off to Dan Burwell for a trigger job and he's putting his new rear sight on it as well. I just need to find a new front sight.

Is Sevigney making sights for the M&P?

This is a great idea. I like USPSA rules because it rewards better hits on paper, although it's much easier and faster to use time-plus rules.

Jeff/Linda/Big Hamp, On Stage 1, are the long range rifle targets flash targets, LaRues or some other type? What is the distance of the longer slug shots? Thanks!

I spoke with Ernest Langdon after the A6 3 gun this weekend. He shot his M&P .40. He said that his M&P has many thousands of rounds through it with no issues. He made major with factory Blazer Brass ammo.
